New member here. I'm an Aubrun Tiger fan, but I do come in peace lol. Tennessee born and a Vol fan as well! BERRY FOR HEISMAN! Anyway I have a question for some of you seasoned Vol nations guys. I'm going to the AU/UT game and have never been to Neyland. I've read that around section Z is the visitors section; is that true? Another thing. I was thinking about picking up one of the mini pack tickets from the UT website..I know they dont go on sale until tom. but do any of you guys know what they typically go for price wise? Thanks for all your help and good luck to the Vols this upcoming season!

IMO you would be better off buying at the game. Ive bought twice off of the ut website because my dad freaks if we dont have tickets in hand before jumping in the car. Long story short, I sat 2 rows from scoreboard. Couldnt see a thang.

For the seating question scan the board and you will see a thread titled Virtual neyland...It will answer your seating question.

Oh really? Wow. Do they not let you know what section or row you are going to sit in? That does suck! And thanks Checkerboard...very helpful! Knox I tend to be right there with your dad...but in a place as massive as Neyland, the nose-bleed section is more literal that figurative I could imagine lol

Another thing...Almost every single hotel has a shuttle bus that will take you to the game two hours before kickoff and drop you off an hour after the game ends. Just ask the front bus before booking. It only cost 10 bucks a person.

391..was is a visitors section? I've read it was. And yes Checker, you guys have a very nice site here. I'm a regular on the Auburn forums obviously but I do not tend to prowl other teams forums often. So this is a first for me. lol

And the story for Auburn is much like it is for you guys. Some good talent at spots, but a very young group of guys. Whole new staff with a newly implemented scheme. I don't "drink the kool-aid" like most fans do. After last season I am ready for another -.500 season. But given enough time I believe both of our programs could be battling in SEC championship again in the near future. We don't have any phenom level players like Berry, so we will have to play well above out actual talent level just to get to .500, which will be an accomplishment IMO for this season for my tigers. Depth is our biggest issue. We do have some SEC caliber 1st level players but as soon as injuries happen, and we all know they will playing in the best damn conference in the country, we will go straight down hill. Our 2nd level is scary; The smallest 2nd level offensive line in the country, just as one example. Very sub-SEC in depth. If we can keep the nerves down, I think we could meet you guys with only one loss however and make it a great SEC showdown.

There are visitors in that general area, I'm not sure of the exact section numbers that are for visitors. I think there are visitors in the front of one or 2 of those sections.

I'm sure someone will be able to help you better than I can.

Ya I had seen that myself. But if it's anything like JH..it's not always acurate. I'll keep looking around and see what I find. Does anyone know a round about price on what those 3 game mini-game tickets pack runs..I was thinking around 150? Soes that sound close?

Yes. CEG has been awesome in past years. I have to say I am glad to see Coach Luper take his place though. Gran will produce awesome RB's if he doesn't have to develop them. Natural talents like Williams, Brown, Irons etc will do great under him. But if the talent has to be coached and developed like our current backs, Tate, Fannin, and McCalebb then they don't show full potential. That was my only complaint with the guy, but I was sad to see him go as he has done SO great in the past.

welcome to the board, tiger. yea the 3 game pack is either 150 or 160 depending on which you choose. i agree with the earlier poster, get em on the street. the "guy in the green jacket" is a good 1st stop. he will at least give you a ball park idea and always has good seats. he'll be in front of the bookstore near the corner of cumberland and philip fulmer way. i have dealt with that guy a lot, and although you pay a little more, i'd say he's got the widest selection of tickets i've seen. he's always willing to trade too.

Awesome! Thanks orange. lol Trooper is Chest bump? I haven't heard that one yet. Man im loving that guy so far. It was reported by one of the guys from the practice on Friday that Emory Blake didn't go after a fumble so chest bump chased him all down the field making him pick up fumbles and yelling in his ear about how disguisting 26 fumbles for turnovers in one season is. He's got some fire and I like that alot!

As much as I dearly love Tubby...as much as you guys love your Fulmer..I believe he had become complacent and started resting on his laurels. He had become a "hands-off" kind of coach and I think we just needed a pep added to our step..And I am all for that. I know I am itching for some SEC football!! This waiting game is wearing me out!

I really appreciate all the advice...and as someone who usually buys Tix off ebay I am unaware of the faults with buying from the school web-site. What is usually the problem? Not that I don't trust you guys because I'm sure you know the in's and out's TN football and tailgating, tix etc. but just for future games?? Do they not make it clear where you will be sitting or something?

If you get your tix from the school to a AU game. You might be able to see the Smokies from your seat. Maybe even your house.

If you want good seats, you wont find them by purchasing off of the UT Athletics website or sites like StubHub. Generally all the tickets on those sites are way up in the nose bleeds. You will definitely be able to find better seats for sale by the "scalpers" outside of the stadium....really depends on how many seats you need in total, and if its imperative that they all be together. Also can depend on our teams records at the time of the matchup......if UT is somehow undefeated at the time, tickets will be next to impossible to ANYWHERE! Goodluck man!

Most of your fans will sit rows 1-30 section A. Your band and more fans will probably be in section Z15 rows 1-X. Then you will have some fans scattered around the very top level around sections GG -HH.
