We have 19 people travelling to TN for the UB game and are staying downtown starting Friday night or earlier for some. A couple of questions.

1) Where are best places to get parking spots for tailgating for the game. We are staying at the Marriott, so we are not that far away.

2) Since it is a 12:30 kickoff. What time do we need to be at wherever the best spots are?

How big of a deal are the open container laws enforced. We want a good tailgate spot but intend to walk around as well. 1st time At UT for all of us.

Thanks

Buffalo fan huh? Anywhere on Magnolia Ave is a great place to hang out and meet new people.

But seriously, a few blocks on either side of Cumberland Ave is your best bet. Not sure about time suggestions though.

Open container laws are barely enforced if you keep it in cups. Had a can in a coozy 2 weeks ago walking down the main strip and an officer yelled at me from his car, but I just kept walking and pretended I didn't hear him.

You'll probably want to get to your tailgating spot by 9 or so. Tailgating isn't all that crazy for a 12:20 kickoff, especially against an OOC team, but it will still be a good time.

Hopefully you caught the sarcasm there cause there are only two reasons you want to be on Magnolia Ave and neither one include tailgaiting. Have fun, and enjoy Neyland.

I can only think of one and that's chandlers deli. What's the other?

Thanks for the ideas, be they good or bad!

We think we have found a couple of spots that might work, time will tell.

Let's just hope we can make it a ballgame now.
