Questions About WR. U

Have we forgotten about Craig Faulkner to add in the mix of great wide receivers?

Cant forget Craig...I remember he droped a pass once, maybe twice.IMO he was the best at catching damn near anything near em.

Here's another...Corey Flemming.Held the single season td record at UT till...Joey Kent broke it?

Y'all need to open your history book, first off I recommend y'all get the volnetwork video best of the big orange wide receivers. It's a older film but it will explain why we are called wide receiver U.

Second. It all started back in the 60's when Track star Richmond flowers was recruited to UT and also Johnny Mills and Lester McClain. Then from the 1970's were names like Larry Seivers and Stanly Morgan. The name took off in the 80's when track stars like Anthony Hancock, Willie Gault, Tim McGee, Thomas TD Woods, Alvin Harper. In the 90's we had Carl Pickens, Joey Kent, Marcus Nash, Peerless Price. Y'all should be young enough to remember the past 10 years of receivers.

I have to confess, it was me. I was in class with Willie Gault and just wanted to ask him "Aren't you a receiver on the football team?" But, I'm an idiot around celebrities so all that came out was "WIDE RECEIVER, YOU?" Willie misunderstood and thought I was complimenting the whole team and passed it on to the rest of the receivers. The next game one of them told John Ward before the game and he took it from there.

TIFWIW. . .

Every year a few more memories get fuzzy....some of em thankfully.

You reminded me of those "best of" videos. They came out in the mid 90's didnt they?I seem to recall they did one on rb's,wr's,qb's...dont remember any for defensive players.

They need to redo those that they already did and add some more positions.

Yeah there were the Qb Rb Wr and the last one was the greatest plays.

I pride myself on my big orange knowledge but the older I get some of my memories fade. That's sad

Gett'n older means we're winning....the alternative aint good.

I remember camping at UT in '97 and '98 and the coaches referred to themselves as WR-U back then.

WR U or not, we need Hunter and Rogers to step up in a big way as reliable every down recievers or Bray may face the sophomore slump...Also Teague to the slot makes more sense now than ever given the expected depth of secondary, unfortunately I' sure its not gonna happen.

wuerffel threw 114 touchdown passes at florida.

1 out of every 6 completions was a td for his career. 1 out of 6.
I still credit Spurrier with way more of that than Waffle. He was a great QB because the plan was great and the supporting cast was great.
