Yes if he’s implying it’s injury related he’s intentionally misleading the media. I don’t really see anything wrong with him doing that either. He can choose to do so to keep things private and internal within the program. This goes back to last season.

It’s almost like people forgot coaches are capable of misleading media to when it happened in every Butch Jones press conference.

Can you provide the exact quote for that? He may have implied it was health related when he said he would be evaluated at the end of the week to determine if he was healthy enough to play.

Someone else rightly pointed out that all players are evaluated at the end of each week to determine if they're healthy enough to play... so he would not be lying technically if his absence was for something else.

Thank you. That really sucks about Mitchell. Why does he even bother with football to go thru the injuries and transfer and then screw up off the field? Geez.

Remember when you were that age? I certainly do. I made MANY questionable decisions. Sometimes, you get away with it...sometimes you don't.

“Handle his business“ could mean many things.
I hate when media members that KNOW something only give vague or partial information.

Heup needs to only suspend guys for the cupcakes: Ball St, Akron, UT Martin. Don’t punish the team by making these guys miss important games. Seems unfair to them.

Make ‘em miss the games where they pad their stats…make them play when it counts.

It should be made clearer what the issue is. Don't have to give exact details but if it's in any way health related, that should be known. Otherwise speculation runs rampant and suddenly Mitchell is being accused of potentially criminal behavior by some. We saw it earlier this year with baseball. That was cleared up within 24 hours.

Except, I've heard Mitchell is no UT cheerleader. He's a loner and does not fit in well with teammates. I think he's just there for the free ride.
