Yes. The Tennessee Volunteers were serious underdogs in the War of 1812. And we all know how that turned out.

Yeah, so? It's human nature to want to see someone that comes out and guarantees victories and accuses other coaches cheating when they aren't to be taught a little humility.

Well it's also UK nature to wish someone else beat the Vols in football because their team hasn't done it in well...let's say in a really long time. Sleep tight kitty cat.

Is it human nature to come and troll their board about it?

Not at all. I'm not sensitive about UK not being Bama, Texas, USC or Florida in football. I realize that we won't be in my lifetime. I really only care about getting to double digit titles in basketball.

How about double digit years of probation?

We have fewer than most programs and nothing in over 20 years. Yes, 7 titles is not enogh titles for any top-tier program in any sport, that's why I plan on 10 by 2020. How many does Tennessee have?

He said AT THE TIME THAT HE SAID IT that it was a joke. My god, people are dense.

He has bizarre mannerisms for a guy joking. Weird that his President had to call him down for just joking. That's a bunch of bs and you know it.

I'm talking specifically about the "guaranteed victories" thing; I assume you're referring to his crack about singing "Rocky Top" after beating Florida that he made at his inaugural press conference. He said immediately after that something to the effect of, "Hey, Mike Hamilton told me to say that," making it clear that he was joking. And yet here you are accusing him of "guaranteeing victories," which he categorically has never done. If anything, he's done the opposite.

I've seen it about 10 times now, he was 100% serious.

I watched it live, and it was absolutely clear that he was not serious. The whole room laughed. If you think he was serious, then you either saw a tightly edited clip that didn't include what he said about Mike Hamilton afterwards, or you're just being willfully stupid about it because you hate Kiffin so much.

But I'm done. If there's any possible bigger waste of time than arguing with a freaking UK fan who's come onto a Vol board to talk trash about the UT/Florida football game, I don't know what it is. I could be cleaning out the refrigerator or something. Come back in November so we can discuss how Tennessee is going to beat Big Blue for the 25th time in a row.

They are just trying to kick us while we are down, it's what rival fans do. We will be back though, sooner then later.
