The Rumor: Maya Moore's family moved to Connecticut and bought a house "beyond their means".

Pat asked the NCAA to investigate; they declined; Pat canceled the game.

This could turn into a Reggie Bush type situation.

Again rumor. Smoke, fire. who knows?

If parents in need had a daughter that could play basketball and we could get a house/job out of it, you're dang skippy their gonna take the carrot... and I don't blame them one bit.

All Pat and Geno did was damage the women's game by cancelling this series. They both are acting like they have sand in their vaginas.

i dont see dirty recruiting as a solid reason to cancel the biggest game of the regular season. if these guys hate each other that much, they should want to play each other that much. in the end, the fans lose.

It would be like Fulmer petitioning the SEC to cancel Alabama as our main west rival because of the Albert Means fiasco... silly.

Why should UT continue to schedule games outside of the conference such as UCONN when the conference is so well balanced. It's all a team can do to stay on top let alone schedule outside teams that can only hurt with a loss. The same goes for SEC football schedules, why schedule a tough team when your struggling to keep up with the big boys in your own conference.

Which why you can't take women's basketball seriously. They make a mockery of themselves. The Nykesha Sales incident where UCONN and the oppsoing team cheered her on as she set the school scoring title made me realize that we had been sold a bridge in terms of what women's basketball really is all about...

Maybe because of something called competitive spirit. The desire to play the best of the best... taking on all comers.

Yeah, everybody should just play it safe and not challenge themselves on the schedule. Just follow the Georgia model and don't play any games west of the Mississippi for 40 years or so...

That is a ridiculous statement. The LV's are not a team that you ever need to complain about their schedule.

Wasn't complaining about LV's schedule. Just answering the question of the guy that wants to know why anyone would desire to schedule tough out of conference games when the SEC schedule is already tough.

In no way did I ask for you to agree with my opinion just as I don't have to agree with yours.

My comment wasn't about women's basketball. It was about allocation of 'AA investigatory resources. I would have made the same point if Todd Raleigh was in a snit with Pat Murphy.

"a meaningless niche sport that about 15 schools in America actually give a crap about.":hmm:
