BTW, @vollygirl , I hope you know I'm not trying to argue or be disrespectful, just having the conversation.
@vollygirl he's being very disrespectful. Send him to band campBTW, @vollygirl , I hope you know I'm not trying to argue or be disrespectful, just having the conversation.
I remember people getting to go to camp about every day and the warnings gosh I had a bunch. I don't get in trouble anymore. We're not the wild troublemakers we once were, but we still take a sense of pride in having our own little niche on VN. Visit any forum on VN and you'll find there are people possessive of it. People in the RF complain all the time about "being invaded" by posters from the FF. I've seen it in the basketball and Lady Vols forums as well. As someone who jumps forums, I'm surprised by how many seem to limit themselves to posting in a particular forum, but I can tell you it happens. It's not unique to the Zone or the Pub. Post something in the RF suggesting you're gonna merge it with the FF and watch some people lose their minds.
I don't think that. I don't like the exclusion of it, I think some people miss out, but I definitely see your point.BTW, @vollygirl , I hope you know I'm not trying to argue or be disrespectful, just having the conversation.
Oh, I see now. It’s a reasonable question. And forum rearranging was always fun in my day lol.It was to find out if posters who called themselves "Zoners" understood they were the same as "Pubsters". And see if one social forum where we all gather would be a good thing.
The answer is obviously no.

I’m a Non-Original Zoner, of course. The “feel” I get is that the Pub is like a nice party, where people mingle pretty good-naturedly around, chatting and comparing vacation pictures and exchanging recipes and whatnot. Meanwhile, the Zone is like a huge, ongoing family reunion, complete with hugs and arguments and Feats of Strength and random brawls over nothing and, of course, the occasional food fight. And like all families, we will interrupt our internal warfare to unite against perceived attacks by outsiders.
One thing I like about this nuthouse is that we’re pretty familiar with one another, so that there’s a certain level of trust when we find that we need to unload something in our personal lives. I don’t trust easily, so this is one thing I really appreciate.
I will now step back to allow the insults and abuse to begin.![]()
I think (JMO) the exclusion can take a nasty edge at times. If someone actually wants to marry into this family and are willing to take us as we are (not the preachy types who come in to scold and reform), then great. At least I didn’t have to answer the Jennifer test questions. But it is a family. Enter if you dare.I don't think that. It was escapegoat who told me one 2 am or so that I should join the Zone. Scared the crap out of me!![]()
