Is it possible to bring in someone from the outside to assist and give an opinion on the Defense. AKA consultant. Hasn't this been done in the past?

An opinion on the defense? It sucks.

Wider lanes when running though the D than running through the T.

IMO McKinsey has one of the best defensive consulting practices out there. My bossman prefers Bain, but it's just b/c he's an alum.

What's to consult? The defense SUCKS! Why bring in someone to tell you that? Everyone already knows

Actually - I think this is brilliant - not saying it hasn't been done but consulting with an expert in the NFL early into this process when it first became obvious we were having all kinds of alignment problems might have saved this entire staff. (Not saying they are gone) I honestly thought -- surely someone that really knows this stuff -- could get Sal or CDD on track. How hard can it be to get someone to stay with the tight end running straight down the middle of the field? Then again I heard Fuad volunteered to help the kickers and was turned away so .......

Dooley is incompetent. Can a consultant fix the last two years of 0 fo October? How about 1th in the SEC in recruiting this year? Can Dooley losing his team before KY and losing to a wide receiver playing quarterback with 6 plays be fixed? Can he convince Dooley to not kick a field goal when down by multiple touchdowns at the end of a game? Can he keep Dooley from burning timeouts because we can't line-up or have too many players or too few on the field. How about throwing 30 yard fades on 3rd and 1 when your defense is a wreck and you need to keep them off the field.........
