some fade routes for Callaway and crew in the red zone? Let these talented WRs make plays! Fla has small DBs I think...toss it up and let them high point it

There are a few things they haven't done or done much that make me wonder like that. They haven't run many RB screens either. RB's have a total of 4 catches for 22 yards in 3 games.

Not sure why Helton wouldn't let JG throw more against wvu. Left some points on the field there.
Pruitt wanted to keep the ball away from their O. He needed to keep the D as fresh as possible. They're building depth and would have fared better now than then... but at that point he didn't have any depth on D.

That was a good strategy to win the game. It was working initially. But when the game got out of hand and they were up multiple scores I dont see any other option but to start throwing more if you're trying to actually win the game.

IMHO, he didn't trust the pass protection to hold up to that. I'm not saying he threw the game or anything close to that... I do suspect he mitigated the risk to JG in a game that had gotten out of hand already.

Maybe so. We'll know the answers very soon. JG and WR's have shown flashes, hope to see them put it together sooner rather than later.

I'm riding a hobby horse so if you've already read this then forgive me. Smith is solid at LT. While he had a bad game, I think Richmond is serviceable at RT. I was very impressed with the progress of Carvin and Ryan Johnson vs UTEP. Jahmir Johnson just doesn't look ready. He looks lost and didn't seem to be improved from the previous two games. I think they have to get the LG issue resolve. If they do then UT should have good enough pass pro and be able to do enough in the run game to generate some O.

That’s only because our QB, who’s soon to be pulled, with a 72% completion rate and 161 qb rating and no turnovers, sucks out loud, right 18? I mean, he’d surely just misread the linebackers and stare down the RBs and cause the screens to fail.

Wet haven't had to game plan against an opponent yet. At least not since WVU.

No need to really do any of that kind of stuff when you're still trying to figure out o line personnel.

That will change now that we're in SEC play.
