I have purchased season tickets for the last 10 years from an individual who had been buying them for longer than i have been alive. She unfortunately has passed and i no longer have the same ticket availability that i once had. That being said i was told that UT had sent an email out to the season tickets holders offering 3 lower level tickets together for 425 a seat without any further donations. Can someone tell me if there is any truth to this rumor?

Yes it's true. Seats available in this offering will be assigned on the 12th.

Pasted from my email:
As a season ticket holder and Tennessee Fund member, you will have the opportunity to add up to three additional season tickets for the 2016 football season with NO ADDITIONAL DONATION!

This promotion will officially be available to you on Tuesday, July 12th. If you do not personally need more seats, then this is a great chance to allow friends and family to attend the games with you and test drive their own season tickets! This will also be the best way to secure extra seats to games such as Alabama or Florida while inventory is still available.

The seats will be available in the lower south endzone (sections J-P) and upper south endzone (sections GG-QQ). Again there is absolutely no donation, so the cost for each additional season ticket is just $420!

Well... so much for single game tickets
The secondary market is going to be flooded

Butts in seats is their job. It's going to be a great season.
As a season ticket holder - 4 SEC home games. The non conference home games are a little underwhelming.

Alabama and Florida are electric
Kentucky and Missouri... yawn

Appalachian State, Tennessee Tech, Ohio Bobcats...ZZZZ

I know.. VT is considered a home game, but it's not part of the season ticket package.

I'm gonna still go. I really think we need a better competition in the out of conference games though.

You could make a case that paying a scalper for Bama and Florida would be a better deal than a season ticket package.

Would anyone be willing to let me purchase there 3 if they are going to buy the tickets for themselves ?

My cousin went through the same issue a few years ago, but fortunately for him Doolander was coach and tickets were easy for me to get as I was already a donor and a ticket holder. Single game seats go on sell August 9th. I called yesterday to confirm as I need two for bama and possibly for Florida.

Do you have to be in a certain donation level to purchase these? I did not receive this email. I am a season ticket holder, but I am very low in the pecking order. I would understand if that is the reason. I am just wondering if this option is available to all holders.

My understanding is that it is open to donors. If you are grandfathered in to a non-donation season ticket, then you probably didn't get the notice. My guess - also, it came to me via email. Some people don't use email. I didn't get a letter about it.

I'd help you out - however my cousin in Chattanooga leaned on me to help him. Surely someone in Vol Nation can help out.

By the way, I'm not sure how accurate this is - but this link shows open seats.

Click Enter - then click on a section. The green dot shows available. Getting seats for this non donation offer is July 12th.

Does anyone know when season tickets are usually mailed out? I've purchased season tickets for the first time this year and had some issues with the ticket office when I made my purchase and just want to know around what date those are usually sent out so I'll know when to be on the lookout for them. Thanks in advance.

SEC media days this coming week. Then in about two more weeks season tickets will be mailed out. In about three weeks (around 8/1) fall practice will begin and be held throughout August which will include an open practice. THEN - SEP 1st arrives and "wherever you listen throughout the world, It's Football Time in Tennessee!"

Just FYI, no single game tickets will be sold to the public for the Florida and Alabama games. They will only be sold as part of season ticket and multi-game packages.

If either Florida or Alabama returns any of their visitors' allotment, those will be sold when the tickets are returned. It is my understanding that Alabama sold out its allotment already.

Correct, and not many will be available for Florida if at all, they'll be uppers in south end zone. Maybe even singles only.

I understand the waiver of the "donation" only applies to the 2016 season and would be charged for 2017 and beyond.

I did it last year and only had donated $200 for section EE and bought a pair in lowers in z14 in dry for $820 a pair with no extra donation. Don't see why they will not do it again if not sold out in 2017 ,but not be locked in or promised extra tix every year.

if you wished to keep the seats in 2017 you would have to pay the donation to keep them. They would want to try and sell them as season tickets with a donation in 2017. every time they offer this it is only a one year deal.

I got 2 this morning. The in laws are season ticket holders so I piggy backed off of them. Not sure where they are yet as my guy in the athletic department has emailed me yet but the charge has hit my credit card. He told me yesterday it was looking like section P. I will be tickled for 437.50 each.
