Question on Transfer Players

Minor Bowens (OL, 6'3, 293lb, Tennessee Tech)
Albert Davies (DB, 5'1, 200lb, MTSU)
Charles Karlosky (DL, 6'3, 220lb, Tennessee Tech)

I saw these guys and two punters transferring to UT, are they going to be eligible to play this season? Also does anyone know if Daniel Adderley will be on scholly and maybe see some playing time this year?

No D-1 to D-1 sit out,Go up a division or down a division you can play Is what I understand.Where did you see it?

I don't know about the other two, but Davies played special teams this past season.

They were on the official football roster, I'm just not sure if they have taken the sit out year or not yet. Apparently Bowens played defensive line at TT so that could help.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Division I players could transfer down to lower divisions but not the other way around.

this! and it's very good to have a punter coming into the program, this is our current punter's last year I think.

That's correct. If u transfer down a level you don't have to sit out. But if you go up then you do (even if it's div. 2 to div 1AA).

No offense to those three guys mentioned, but I doubt that any one of them ever sees the field here.

I wouldn't say that. If they can play, they will play. Look at the Sullins last year. You didn't think of them playing last season did you. Most probably hadn't heard of the Sullins till the Spring last season.

To be honest, I never even heard of them till spring. But, most likely, those three aren't going to see the field unless one of them is a diamond in the rough.

adderley is not on scholarship at this point.

Bowens quit football

No idea on Davies or Karlosky. see if they return or not

He's a kicker. He's not out there playing d-line. If we r going to be afraid to play someone in a position of need out of fear they get hurt, then why don't we sit everyone on the bench.

Fulmer was very high on the Sullins. The center got significant snaps in 2008.

Charles Karlosky is not transferring out. I just talked to his dad.

His dad chuckled and said, "No he isn't transferring" TIFWIW


does reporting like this give me Guru status?
