Question on Florida suspensions

Y'all can stop sweating the suspended players, they aren't playing this weekend. First, they're suspended indefinitely pending completion of the University and Gainesville police investigation. Well, pretty safe to assume that the investigation will be pushed back a week or two by more urgent police matters, like possible hurricane force winds rolling through the city.

Also, if they were to abruptly announce tomorrow the investigation is over, which won't happen, these guys have been suspended from all team activities for about a month now. That means they haven't been practicing. I seriously doubt they would be game-ready.

So move along, nothing to see here on the suspensions. Now if suddenly it's announced the suspensions are over, well then we'd have something major to talk about.

Hoping for opposing player suspensions to hold out thru our game seems a bit weak sauce. If we beat them without the players but can't if they have them, do we really deserve the W?

Yes. When their players are under criminal investigation, you would rather them play? Their stupidity doesn't take anything away from our game.

I really don't think it will be played this weekend but I'm not an insider. Just going off of what I'm seeing on TV. FSU cancelled classes through Friday. I just don't see them playing it. I guess it could be moved to a neutral site but I would think they would say the players/coaches need to be home helping their families.

I hope I'm wrong. I've been before. Just ask my wife lol!

It's possible. These storms have a life of their own and they sure as hell don't care about football.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

What if the game is moved or postponed? There is a small storm passing through the region. Do you think Florida planned this so that the players would off suspension, even well-rested, just to play UT. You know that his how they think - it is all about UT. Just like this board is so fixated on Florida.

For all the Florida folks - be safe and best of luck with the hurricane.

Yes we do. Did they deserve the wins during the Dooley years? They didn't feel bad for us because we couldn't field a punt or a kickoff. If they wanna act like morons and get themselves suspended then I'll reap the benefits any day.

Investigation is still ongoing and may include another player. That part is rumor however. I don't see the PD spending much time on the investigation this week with the cleanup from the hurricane to deal with.

Speaking of, FSU vs Miami has been cancelled this week and rescheduled for Oct. FSU is out is school till Friday. There is some talk about moving the Fla vs Tn game, decision due tomorrow.

Where did you get your info that the UT Florida game may be moved?

You're right. We deserve the win if we win. I meant to imply that it wouldn't make us the better team. I love beating Florida...usually giving us a shot at Atlanta. But I want to win because we are better, not because we snuck in like they did last year

The Gators snuck into LSU and beat them on their home field last year, remember?:good!:

Hell, we've lost to backups over and over again. We've even lost to a team that trots out a WR and puts him under center. At this point, I don't think it matters who UF has or doesn't have. We haven't won there since 2003. Personally, I hope, they all play. We are either a better team or we aren't. Don't want injuries or suspensions to influence the game any more than they already have.

That's stupid! We heard all the crap when Dooley coached, when we had Peterman play, when Hunter went down, when AJ Suggs played... ect. I don't care a win is a win whether you have a bad coaching staff or key players out... it never stopped Florida's arrogant attitude.

Wow. Only a Tennessee fan would come up with something like this. Do you think Michigan gave an ish how many players Florida didnt have? Do you think Vandy and SC deserved the win against us last year? Sheesh.
