Question for yall

Let me say that I don't think UCLA is going to be a cakewalk for us but I said IF we beat them by a huge margin how will we be going into the Fl game.Just wanted to add that in here.

I think homefield will be the difference against UCLA this year

After only games against WKU,and then UCLA I still worry about Crompton in Gainesville against the Gators.

I think we will go into the Swamp with a 2-0 record and play UF with more confidence than years past, but Florida's talent will win out in the end. I think we lose 31-14.

If we kill our first 2 opponents this year do youthink we could have the confidence to hang with florida? We have no idea what we have this year and the QB situation scares me so I just wanted yall's opinion. I know the first two games are not that big but seeing as we had a really bad team last year I wanted your thoughts. Oh and also how much does emotion play in a big game?

I think the first 2 games are more important than most think!

You know as well as I do that a healthy Bama is bad news for UT. It's looking like a 10-12 year winning streak for Bama.

I know a lot of really senseless people and some serious homers to boot, but I don't know any that would say something this stupid regarding any team in any sport. Further, this really does live up to a top 10 stupidest post of all time. Congrats.

David beat Goliath because Goliath was overconfident. We want UF staying overconfident.

A "healthy Bama"...are we referring to the roster or the probation?

Yes, if Bama is healthy, they could present a problem. As for the "10-12 year winning streak", well, I'm not convinced. You're assuming (I would guess) that "Saint Saban" will be there for the next 10 years...

History suggests otherwise.

Personally, I think UT-Bama is no longer a real rivalry. We have Florida, and Kiffin. You have Saban, and...Auburn?

I look for Bama to do what they've done so well for the past 15 years...fold in the clutch, lose, and fire the coach. I could be wrong, but your claim to fame over UT is based on a UT team that couldn't get out of it's own way over the past couple of seasons.

Things are different in Knoxville, and same as it ever was in Tuscaloosa.

Win at any cost. Saint Nick was the perfect hire.

Go Vols.

Florida will kill UT.

And you seriously expect your team to do better against UF?

Assuming you get to Atlanta, and that's a HUGE if...UF will prove much tougher then the "Directional Lousiana" team you lost to in Saban's debut.

Ham it up, Bammer...it'll be fun to watch you guys lose...again...on national TV.

Look at the bright side...Utah will probably be playing a better team.

Go Vols.

What exactly is the record between the two schools for the last fifteen years, goober?

I like how people keep writing the game off as a loss. You never know what's going to happen. Many times UF wins because they simply got the breaks...a key fumble at the right time...a bad exchange between our QB and the RB, or Brandon James runs one back, that would've never happened if our freakin kicker would stick the damn KO in the end zone half the time (why I'm excited we got a commit Palardy yesterday). There are a ton of variables, but more often than not, it just seems like the Gators get the lion's share of breaks rather just outright beating us.
Sure it all counts, but the point here is, this year...could be a matter of US getting all the lucky breaks. This defense could smother the dickens out of Tebow and company. UF also has to break in a new OC and do without a KEY component of it's offense from last year...Percy Harvin.

Like every year, we'll just have to wait and see. With an entirely new staff...not just and OC, UF doesn't really know what to expect. How soon can our offense gel? Who knows...so, if you're a Tennessee fan...stop underselling your own team before they even play a single snap. You don't know...we don't know. Neither do Florida fans. The more they predict a massive defeat, the more it's going to hurt if they lose. Let them show their hiney, but don't join in with them for Monte's sake. :)

I think Tennessee goes into Fl Feild with a "nobody expects us to win" mentality and Florida is overly confident . Sounds like its ripe for an upset.... GO VOLS !!!

I think that's what been bugging Urban all along. He's worried that his team will take UT for granted given what a pushover we've been.

They have every right to feel that way, and it's smart of CUM to try to keep his team from showing up too overconfident.

Still, our only chance is if they spot us about 21 on the front end of the game with stupid mistakes related to not being focused on the game.

If they do that, our defense could keep us in it.

If we get off rolling in the first two games. Good Qb play?, strong D, the chances are yes I think we can. I also think that as everyone knows is that FL brings alot of returned starters and a very good D with a Good LB corps that makes you turn over the ball. Take that away from them anyone can beat them.

UCLA is the key to the season. That loss last year is what set off our season on the downward spiral. We need to win confidently. Then, Florida is next and confidence can only help. It would take a miracle to get the upset, but crazier things have happened. I believe Bama will be our big win this year. They are overrated, the Utah game showed there true self. After that it's at least a 10-12 year winning streak over the Bammers.:p

Well said! There's an old saying that pride goes before a fall. Never in the history of college football has there been a more arrogant team that was just certain they were going to humiliate another team, than UF this year with us. Even if we didn't have two top-ten recruiting classes on the field, we would have a good chance at victory in this game, just due to their overconfidence. But we've got those two top-ten classes, and we've also got arguably the best staff of coaches in Div. 1, and it's going to be a very, very interesting game.

i think these bammer posters are actually vol fan wannabees, they dont want to deal with all the crap they would catch being a fan living in bama so they secretly pull for the vols and watch evey game in the privacy of their own home...i think if we play a very disiplined first 2 games then florida could be close, dont forget eric berry on defense, this could be his last year so im sure he will be motivated to win and it looks like we are very deep at running back and usually whoever has the most rushing yards wins....bryce brown!!!!! go vols!!!!!!!!!!!

If Corso picks the Vols over florida, we won't stand a chance against the gators. Regardless of how the first two games play out.

The delusions never stop in Bammerland. :shakehead:

Bammer can't keep a clean program for even 3 years. The Crimson Turds will receive the NCAA death penalty within 5 years.

Well if we beat WKY and UCLA will we be ranked playing Florida? Or what if we beat WKY handily and just get by UCLA?

Also what happens if we beat Florida? What will espn be doing, what will gator fans be saying, where will we shoot up to in rankings, will Kiffin start getting respect?

Just wonderind everyones opinions

I believe we should work WKY pretty good and I think we take UCLA by about 10-17 and if we do that and a few teams lose in the top 25 I think we could be Ranked and if we beat Florida.... I dont think i have to say it
