a friend and i were talking about todd helton, and he said he had heard an interview with him a long time ago. the person interviewing him asked about rod delmonico, and todd replied " that's something i don't talk about". does anyone out there know if todd and delmonico had a falling out during his time at u t or maybe later after he went to the majors ? just wanted to know. thanks

Dave Serrano never mention Rod D name when Tennessee introduced him. I thought that was odd since Serrano had worked for him here.

He is viewed by the fans here much like Jerry Green was for basketball but their mouths lost support from everyone including alumni. Green"If you don't like my product go to Wal-Mart" Delmonico in his final season"Fire me but you are gonna have to pay me $400,000". 2 statements that one could argue are true however there are some things the Head man should never ever say unless you want to seal your fate early.

Let's put it this way. Todd's first (and quite generous) donation to the baseball program came the year after Rod Delmonico was replaced. Prior to that, ever dollar he had given went to the football program. Todd was not the only Vol from that era to make a first and significant contribution after he was replaced.
