Question For The VN...

Big difference in being in shape to play against high school players, and stepping onto a college field and being in shape. Especially if LKs practices are as demanding as they sound.

Anybody so caught up in reports over BB being winded in one drill should be remembering all the reports that came out during the summer talking about what a workhorse he's been in conditioning and how everyone thinks he's in great shape. This is pointless. People are talking like he's been lazy all summer, but it's been the opposite. I would hope that players are getting winded in practice. That means they are working.

Who exactly put me in my place dawg? I've been here for almost three years brah... I don't come to the VN to "stir the pot". You need to relax on calling people out that have been here a long time.

I forgot post count & membership time gives you cred. My bad man. Maybe when I get close to 10,000 posts I'll have a clue.

By the way, Chip Kaine is the ONLY person out of many to have anything negative to say about BB after the first 2 days of practice. Like someone said above, I would hope BB is winded at times. It means he's working.

Have a nice day and keep working on that message board tenure.

Funny stuff this thread. A bunch of fat old men sitting in front of their computers all day and biotching about an 18-yr old kid who was "winded" while going through 2-a-days!

Back in the day (when I was a college athlete) I remember working hard and being winded. I sure as hell was in shape. But if you push it, no matter how good of shape you're in, you get winded.

I think I'll jog to the fridge for a beer. Bet I'll be winded by the end.....

I'm 27 just finished lifting and am a former college athlete. I've never been close to fat but that's cool.

And Hubbs said it was laughable to think BB wasn't in shape so all is right with the world.

Didn't mean to imply that you were. My apologies. Keep lifting and don't let the metabolism go. When you get to 40 (like me) its more of a struggle. I'm not "fat" either I'm not close to being in shape like back in the day....damn desk job....

Didn't your team have issues with the strength and conditioning coach and have to get a new one? Could be that they were just lifting to look good in their broke back mountain lamborghini photo.

At least our qb gets laid.

I also wanted to point out, me being from Wichita, I personally know the weather where he's coming from. The humidity level's in K'ville are astronomically higher than here in Wichita.

Unless you've been running drills in the smoky mountains for a while, coming there and running drills in August will wind even Lance Armstrong.

Wrong!!!!
