I know that us Vol fans have been divided about which QB we wanted to start next year. Now with Schaeffer out of the picture, I was wondering who the Schaeffer fans want to start now? Ainge, Clausen........Crompton?

Which QB do you think can understand the genius of Randy Sanders the best? I know that Casey Clausen did well under the wings of Sanders at times. What do you all think? :dunno:

by the way, I don't know who will be QB but I think most of us would bring back Casey if we could. :w00t:

I think that Ainge will start. The Clausens have been good QB's for us, but I think that it is time for the Ainge era if you will. As for the genius of Sanders, well, the verdict is still out.

I think we're missing the question here, guys. He asked who "Schaeffer fans" favored now. I would not consider myself to be in that group, so I'll refrain from answering.

(at least that's my excuse for avoiding yet another QB thread)

Ainge is the man, why is this always comming up? Foxsports put him in the preseason top 5 for the heisman, why wouldn't he start?

For me its very simple. Ainge all the way.

I love Clausen but I think we are destined for a 8 win year with him at the main helm.

I sorta liked the element he brought to the offense. Its not the typical UT thing to have a mobile QB. But im gonna back whom ever gets the ride.
Its nice to have both Rick and Ainge. If one faulters or is injured you have confidence the next guy is ready and lead the offense just as well as the starter. I think Crompton will redshirt? that isnt set in stone he'll have the fall with every chance to compete.
But when they do cut him loose' he's gonna be dangerous
