If we finish with the following, where would we end up in the final rankings (range)?

Lose:

OT Dan Skipper

Everyone remains on board.

Add:

DE Carl Lawson
DL Jaylen Miller
DE Davin Bellamy
S Von Bell
WR Marquez North
RB John Ford
OT Christian Morris
LB EJ Levenberry

Where would we finish then?

And if you really want to, what about this finish?

two five stars and the rest four stars plus our current commits would put us around seventh. maybe sixth.

If we get all those players we should be top 10 in recruiting rankings..if we get the 2014 "Legacy Class" we should be back to the top 10 BCS ranking. The future looks bright.:matrix:

If nothing changed with the teams from 7 and up it would put them at 7th with 2446 points on Rivals. Ole Miss will surpass that easily but I am not sure I see anyone else who could so roughly 7-10 range to be safe.

Come on guys... I am not yet sold on CBJ and Co., he may land a few goodrecruits, but a top seven.... he has not been here long enough for that

Some of your expectations are so high that he will never live up to them...I hope he does, but this is the long route we have chosen

A top 15 class would be something that we should be very proud of and something that we could build on. It has been a while since we had anything to build on. CBJ has been a proven winner at the varying levels he has coached at. He now has the support and equipment to coach at the SEC level, so we should not expect any less. The high school coaches in my area have expressed that his passion for UT is contagious. Hopefully this first class of his will catch it too.

Great post...bUTch is building the program like great high school programs do...communicate with your feeder schools and nosh with their coaches about ALL of their players...even ones that won't end up with you...when a genuine talent starts rising up the ranks on practice and workouts who's going to be the first to get a heads up?...the coach you're always talking to. This approach is what has made Mack Brown the recruiting beast that he is down here in Lone Star country. When he first got the gig the Longhorns weren't number one on Texas high school recruits list from freshman year on like they are now. He networked and visited ad nauseum throughout the state nonstop until he had his future recruits committing by the end of their junior year...now after they got onto campus and started getting taught by coaches is another matter...lot of wasted talent down here..but the gist is that the inferior UT being the state school in a talent loaded state always drew talent even with David McWilliams and John Mackovic but without that relationship with high school coaches you never reach the top

Gonna say we finish somewhere between 10-13. Think we get a couple fish we're in on, miss a couple. IMO, Butch has put in too much good work to come up swinging.

Please tell me how you figured up the point total for Rivals. I've never been able to make rhyme or reason out of them.:salute:

I'd say 20-25 would be pretty good for his first year. Anything better and he is a miracle worker. The folks thinking top ten finish are the same folks thinking Gruden Soon. It want happen.
