List,
Let me ask a couple of questions? With no regards to being politically correct is there anyone who would disagree with the following three questions...
1) Is it time to replace Philip Fulmer
2) Is it time to replace whoever coaches are DB's
3) Is it time to replace whoever coaches the receivers
If you answered NO to any of the three questions you are not interested in TN Football moving forward.

The receivers? I think you're going to get shot for saying we should get rid of Trooper Taylor.

Let me ask a couple of questions? With no regards to being politically correct is there anyone who would disagree with the following three questions...
1) Is it time to replace Philip Fulmer...maybe after the next 2 seasons.
2) Is it time to replace whoever coaches are DB's...yes, but the DB's played better the second half of the season.
3) Is it time to replace whoever coaches the receivers...we had the best receiver in the SEC this past season. So it's an emphatic HELL NO.
If you answered NO to any of the three questions you are not interested in TN Football moving forward.

Read above.

I think Fulmer should have one more year. If we dont win the SEC championship then we need to fire him next year. Slade needs to be fired immediately but keep trooper. The extension Fulmer received is a joke and if anything he needs to take a pay decrease.

Getting rid of Trooper Taylor is about the stupidest comment I've ever heard anyone make on a message board and I read several. He's a fantastic coach, he coached RB we have two 1000 yard backs. He moves to wideouts in 06 and Meach, Swain, Smith become a force to be feared. This year Lucas Taylor improved 300 percent from last year, although he's still not close to best receiver in conference.

Earl Bennett, Percy Harvin, Early Doucet, DJ Hall all would probably be considered better.

I wouldn't call Lucas the best, but he was a lot better than I thought he would be. He was slowed down a lot in the second half of the season with injury, too.

If I were you, I would hesitate to question anyone else's interest in Tennessee football until I could name the coaches in question.

I can name a few that are better than Lucas Taylor. No offense to Lucas.

Physically yes. Output wise, no. After all the yards Woodson and Tebow put up, no receiver on those teams put up 1,000 yards. Not even Percy Harvin, which is the most gifted receiver in the SEC.

Bennett had 75 receptions and just over 800 yards receiving. Taylor had 73 receptions for 1,000 yards.

I am not going to argue that Harvin is more gifted and perhaps will be the best receiver in the SEC next season, but this season he is not.

Doucet caught 50 balls for 474 yards. No where close to the best this season. Wasn't even the best on his own team.

DJ Hall is the only one close output wise with 63 receptions for 947 yards. He was the only receiver with over 40 receptions on his team though. So those numbers are padded somewhat because of that fact. Taylor on the other hand had 3 other players having 40+ receptions and still got to 1,000 yards.

Earl Bennett plays for Vandy, how dare you compare his stats to Lucas.

If stats are what you hang your hat on, then you'll be shocked when Kevin Smith isn't the #1 pick in the draft.

Lucas is not even close to the best WR in the league.

All of the ones mentioned are better, and I'd throw Burton from KY, McKinley from SC and I'd throw Bubba Caldwell out there also.

Lucas had a great year and put up great numbers he improved more than any player on offense. But if NFL draft was today all those guys would go before Taylor. Doucet was hurt and missed several games...which was why his numbers were down. If "BEST" means your only looking at total yards you can say that I suppose. But Lucas Taylor I think was named 3rd team all SEC this year. Well down the list of the so called experts who say whose the best.

Yeah I forgot Kenny McKinley I do think he's overrated...he's no Sidney Rice.

Bennett had 1,146 yards last season and he played for Vandy. So what's your point??

Stats are not the only thing I hang my hat on. Taylor seemed to be the most consistent player in the league this season among all WR's.

We are also talking about THIS season. Not being subjective to other seasons as well. So statistically, Lucas was the best in the SEC and he was the most consistent. Also, like I have stated before the most gifted WR in the league plays for FL and I am envious not to have him here. Lucas Taylor, best this year on the field. Taylor could have been even better had he not injured his toe.

Not just total yards, but showing up each Saturday and doing what it takes to help your team win. We may have went 9-4, but Taylor played like a 13-0 receiver even though he was hurt.

I like your style but I'd like to keep the WR coach.

Funny how you identify with someone who has obviously no credibility questioning anyone else.
