Even though NSD is over, is there any chance we could still sign OL or DT for this year (no sign and place), and if so, who are some possibilities?

Technically guys like Seantrel Henderson could still sign their LOI to UT, but it won't happen. It's possible, but not even remotely probable.

I wish we could get this guy, he is waiting on usc infractions, which they will get......

You can sign players until April 1st, I think. So yea, another DT or OL is definitely possible. I don't how likely it is, but it is possible.

Okay, if we still can, are there any candidates, other than the improbable possibilty Henderson?

There's about a 0.000001% chance that Seantrel Henderson is wearing a power T on the side of his helmet come Labor Day weekend.

Just keep one thing in mind, you don't go and sign guys just to have "bodies" on your team. You have to make sure they are talented enough to compete. What if we sign a couple of 2-star guys and then next year sign a couple of 4 and 5 star guys? Those 2 star guys will end up sitting the bench their whole career at Tennessee and that would not be fair to them. Just remember a players ABILITY is more important than their AVAILABILITY.

Good point! I think y we took the 2 star LBs instead of 2 star lineman is b/c they can help on special teams ... and obviously we need a lot of help on our coverage teams. I think if we take anybody else now it'd be a lower rated DT that could be a body for a year there then has potential to be a good off. lineman if he doesn't work out there. I have no idea who that might be though. I went to ESPN's college football recruiting section. Then hit their 150 and prospects. Then click under DT. Their are still some unsigned prospects rated in the mid 70s available. Who knows if we take one. I'd say he has to have a high GPA to take one to. You don't want a guy like that lowering your team GPA.

The Initial Signing Date is Feb. 3rd, and the Final Signing Date is indeed April 1.

Dooley would have to mobilize hostesses and send them to Minnesota.

But seriously, as long as the kid is unsigned, there's a chance. However, this chance is about as good as me waking up one morning with Sarah Chalke, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston, and Brooklyn Decker laying completely naked next to me.

It's a long shot, but what I heard they really look for is some guy who has graded out. Sec caliber that no one thinks can qualify and at the last moment does, and they jump on it if they can. Of all the guys they say are going juco I have no clue who that is, nor does anyone else, otherwise they would sign them. That's our best shot, and it's not much, but I'm sure we will hear nothing about it from the staff, be dumb to advertise a suprise qualifier they are looking for.
