So, I guess Nick Saban should be castrated because he went 6-6 his first year, AND lost to ULM, right??

Come on man, we aren't deep, have confidence problems, and our attrition levels are that of a probation team.

STUPID THREAD!!! I really wish the monitors will delete ignorant threads like this. Dooley can't rebuild a team in 1 season. We don't have the talent yet, and our team is young. Geez, some of you all are so pathetic!

Say what you want, but those players didn't come ready to play today.. This happens to the best teams, and honestly I expected this to happen. I actually predicted that we would lose to UAB in the preseason after playing Oregon and Florida..

Hopefully they come back swinging next week, but expect a loss and that doesn't mean Dooley should be fired.

i can live with an SEC lost as long as it isnt Vanderbilt or Kentucky..... UAB would have been unacceptable but we won no matter anything else... UAB whipped our buts they drove the ball down our throats and the defense owned our offense.. I ll take a ugly win anyday... i hope our players wake up...but Im all vol and rooting for them no matter what....

You guys are killing me. Does any one remember Johnny Major first seasons at UT. How about the last few years of Bill Battle?
I simply cannot believe how SPOILED we have become!

This instant gratification crowd is beyond stupid. Give the current staff a chance!

Making a coaching change this season or next year would put the program back a decade. He will need to acquire the best assistant coaches in the nation to be successful however.

I know he's touted as the next-big-thing, but how long does Wilcox last? This defensive performance is repulsive.

Depth was not the problem today. They weren't ready to play, did not make adjustments, and the play calling was suspect. If UAB had of had a kicker, it wouldn't have gone into overtime.

Football 101 should be a required class before posting on here. When are you people going to figure out we don't have very good players right now. If you knew anything about football, you would have noticed it after the first game. Dooley's doing the best he can with what he has. Ex. Simms, plays hard, tries his best. He's just not a very good QB.

I think it was end of regulation or 1OT we had 10 men on the field 3 plays in a row after an injury. Not to mention we didn't make adjustments and they ran basically the same three plays on us all day.

Superb coaching right there. And I was on the Dooley wagon until today.

just face it,UT is way down on talent and depth,notice how the play drops in the 2nd half?there out of gas, i thought this year would be a bad one,with all the young players,I'll judge Dooley and staff better after this years recruiting is done,it will take 3 years or so to see how good a coach he is

How long did it take for UT to sink to this level? Reasonable to say it was more than one season?? Then give the new staff a chance to fix what has been neglected and broken for YEARS (insert your opinion here on how long it took to get to the bottom)

Give this a.chance it will get better talent and player wise the last 3 years we were in a hole.I do believe cdd will get it done. I have the faith.
