I'm considering going to the Vandy game but as of now have no tickets. I've been to dozens of home games and typically buy my tickets from the same scalper just before kickoff.

Has anybody here ever purchased tickets from a scalper at Vanderbilt before? Are they plentiful? Are they expensive? Or should I just buy some from craigslist?

Thanks in advance and I hope many of you brave the cold weather and join me in turning their cute little "stadium" ORANGE!

GBO!

There are always tickets available at West End Middle School games. I would buy from a scalper.

You can watch the game from the Marriot next to it lol. I stayed there for a work trip a few weeks ago and had a clear view of the stadium and field from one of the top floors sitting in my room.

If you are cool with missing the first quarter you can probably get in for 5 bucks or even for free

Last I checked online they were pretty expensive. As bad as Vandy is I would think you should be able to pick up some tickets on the street for not too much. I believe the scalpers are not allowed on campus so check out Westend Ave.

Here is a picture I took, and there were still 3 floors above me. You would have an insane view from the top floor. You could probably sell tickets....to your room lol.

(Also, notice my Tennessee phone case in the reflection lol)

I might take you up on it. Not sure what the VN rules are for posting emails and phone numbers are though...

Rudy you said you're in the Army. Are you up here at ft campbell? I'm needing some tickets for the game $65 may not be bad depending on where they are.

Scalper prices may be outrageous considering the turnout of UT fans expected. I've been checking Craigslist and the prices aren't bad, just don't know how risky it'll be.

Regardless, we need to #CheckerVandy.

I always forget how tiny their stadium is compared to ours. You sir have a point.

How many seats are there? 40,000 or so?

The architects must have been instructed to build the facility so that each and every Vandy fan in the entire world can attend the games.

The second rule was to allow 30,000 seats for the visitors.

If you can find Vandy's fan he may give you his.

Vandy Senior Day 2013.jpg

This is 6 minutes before kickoff at Vandy on Senior Day. Oh, how they love their team.

I tried to scalp some in 2010 and waited til about 15 minutes after kickoff, but the cheapest I could find was $75/piece. The game didn't even sell out, but I wasn't gonna pay face value much less above it. With the demand from TN fans it might be really expensive to try and scalp.

It's a mixed bag when TN comes to town. The last two games at Vandy were tough tickets, but Vandy wasn't as horrible as they are right now. There are lots of TN fans in Middle TN that don't get up to Knoxville that often and their stadium only seats 40k.

What's nice is that it's back to the way things used to be. You will be competing against fellow Vol fans for tickets rather than Vandy fans.

I've bought tix off the street for 4-5 Vandy games. I'd say the least I've paid as about $30 each and the most about $75 each. I'm planning on going again this year and expect to pay $60-ish.

Just checked the VU/Ticketmaster web site. I only see singles available. So, this might wind up being an expensive one. Perhaps as much as $80 on game day.
