Question about the last play yesterday

It hit the backboard and then hit a UT player at which time the clock should have started but didn't. Is this something that is replayable? The clock would have run out before Winthrop even got that shot off.

The clock definitely didn't start at the right time. That was without a doubt the longest .4 of a second that I have ever witnessed.

I know, but Ithink the officials understood what had happened and just elected to let the game expire. Which would have been the outcome after review anyway.

the clock doesn't start until the ball is touched - so the "bomb" pass was the right choice. I remember a game in the tourny a while back where a team was down and they inbounded it like that - the guy caught it on the fly and in the basket for the win.

That's the thing, the clock didn't start when the ball was touched.

The clocks are run manually in the tournament.
