I'm an LSU fan looking forward to making my first trip to Knoxville this fall and have a question where my seats are. I bought 2 off ebay in Y6 row 47. I'm wondering how many rows the lower level has, ie how high up i'll be, or how far down from the concourse above the lower level. I'm wondering how much under the upper deck overhang i'll be and will I not be able to see the rest of the stadium etc b/c of the roof over my head. ARE THESE GOOD SEATS? Any input is appreciated. thanks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I sat in the Y section a few years ago and was under the overhang. Maybe someone else can tell you how far back you are. We had tv's hanging from the upper ceiling in front of us. The reason for the tv's - you can't see the jumbotron. It's blocked by the overhang. We could not see the top of the south goal posts and standing made it worse. (you see less). If anyone stands in front of you, you are sol.
I politely asked the people two rows up to please not stand, and they were rude. They left when the game went south, so please don't mistake them for Tennessee Volunteers. The good news? You are in good shape if it rains.
Hopefully you aren't that far back.
and
don't miss the best pre-game show in college football.

Anyone else have any input as to how far up row 47 is with regards to being under the overhang. Also, is the overhang gonna obstruct my view of scoreboard, stadium etc. Also, is this strictly a UT section or do visitors normally sit scattered in this area. thanks

Yeah I got your hook-up.

There are 58 rows in Y6 lower level.

Rows 42 and up are covered in Y6.

I think that only being 5 rows under the cover, you will be able to see the JumboTron pretty well. If not, there are TV's hanging down for you to see.

There is early afternoon sun in that section, but it should not be a factor vs. LSU.

That section is primarily Tennessee. The visitors sections are generally the lower lower levels of Y10-Z15.

You are in the endzone that the Tennessee players run out of when forming the T. It will be a great view of it. Your band will be sitting in Z14. The Pride will be in the opposite endzone from you.

there are always a few away fans in every section but it will be mostly UT fans. I used to sit there and yes you wont be able to see the jumbotron if your under the overhang but 47 may be in the open because thats not that high. I'd think you wouldnt even have cover because i sit (not in that section but i used to) row 54 and i'm just two rows under.
