I think the team signing happens earlier than the game. I haven't been to it to know how it works, but pretty sure you get the stuff you describe still.

not since Pruitt took over - now there is a fan day in late August for that stuff

Cool, I will be bringing my 71 year old dad. It will be his first time in Neyland in a while.
