Question About Nintendo Wii + Football Games

Anyone have or played Madden NFL or NCAA football on the Nintendo Wii?

I don't know much about these and am trying to get some info before buying a Christmas gift.

From what I can tell from online screen shots, it appears that the Madden and NCAA for Wii is a little more cartoonish or something. I can't quite explain it, but something looks different.

I haven't seen either game played in person so maybe its just me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, the question is: Are these two games on Wii the same (or nearly the same) as they are on Playstation 3 or Xbox.

I tried Madden on the Wii a couple of years ago, and at that time it wasn't very much fun.

graphically you'd want to get it for the PS3 or 360...

Its a very stripped down more kid friendly version on Wii.

If you are wandering about a child playing it....the ps3 and 360 versions can be dumbed down and you dont sacrifice any of the graphics. My 6 year old can ball out on NCAA on Varsity level.

Yeah, this pretty much confirms what I was thinking about the Wii games. The person I am buying for is used to PS versions of these games and was wanting a PS3.

The Wii obviously has some fun games itself, but I was hesitant to pull the trigger b/c it looked like Madden and NCAA football were altogether different on Wii.

I can confirm the football titles on the Wii pretty much are awful.
