Question about LSU/UF game cancelation - East Coast weather [update: game cancelled]

SEC Office needs to tell Florida to move it to Baton Rouge or take a forfeit loss. Just my objective opinion as a BO fan

This does not make Florida look good at all.

If the SEC East winner depended on the outcome of the game they would make them play it. Push the SECCG back if they had to. We did it with Florida in 2001

Wasnt every game on 9/11 moved to that weekend ?

It's not that hard to know whether or not LSU boarded a plane. It's not like UF has to get everything set up and be on the field awaiting a kickoff before knowing whether or not LSU is going to be there.

Doesn't matter they have until 11am to get there... they can't cancel the game. I see no reason for anyone at LSU to be cooperating with this bizarro world stuff.

So they get on a plane an fly to where? From what I can gather flights are already starting to be cancelled into that area. Bizarro world.

Not sure they can do that, which might be the reason they are playing hardball.

I can make the flight out no problem on Thursday morning. Problem is if east Orlando gets high winds of 50-75 mph then wife and son at the house. We've been through three of them in 1994 but feel uneasy if the forecast stays the same of not being home on Thursday/Friday.

Understood. Still hoping that the storm will move further east but not happening right now.

What if 22 random LSU students who have eligibility show up with pads? Would be awesome.

Yup, if its not cancelled than it could force Florida to show up as well and play the whole freaking game.

What I am hearing is they don't want to play in TS, that they might be trying to setup another location, but that should have already been worked out. As far as I am concerned, screw them... make them play the game.

TS was like a daycare last year with South Carolina, not sure what the issue is... but any place is probably fine other than Florida/Georgia.

Bucs are out of town this week. Play it in Tampa and get reacquainted with the field.

Gainesville isn't even going to get rain or high winds Saturday according to the 5 day forecast...

Cool cool. Ever make it up to any games?

Its very possible being on the West side of the storm, it could be pretty clear by Saturday, the problem is flying in and why take the chance. Even if its not real bad, you could have large scale electricity problems, traffic, shortages, etc.
