I am going to my first Tenn/Florida game this year and I have heard nightmare stories about their fans and even though it is in Knoxville this year are they just as rude away as they are at their home?

They're loud and obnoxious but know if they get too out of hand they will pay a price.

You can't say anything about a fan base as a whole. There are good, bad, and ugly who root for every team. I guarantee you they will be more tame in Knoxville than in Gainesville.

They are scared lizards in Knoxville. If they start anything, you'll have 100's of Vols getting your back immediately.

If its in knoxville, win or lose you won't have a problem. They realize that they are in a stadium of 100k+ Tennessee fans compared to their 1k florida fans? Not much of a fair fight if you ask me lol

Don't know if that will be the case this year, let's hope it is...

Alot has to do with how they're treated sometimes too. Talk alot of smack to 'em and they're gonna be like any other fan base. Personally, I've never had a problem as long as it stays good natured smack.

The real problem is not the fans who travel. When you go to Gainesville and have to deal with the UF students, that is a different story. The UT students are extremely calm compared to theirs.

One of my fondest memories is my first trip to Gainesville. One of their students stuck a sign in my face that read "Go Home Inbreads" . No kidding. Spelled just like that. I corrected his spelling and went right on along to the game.

I also saw Florida students locking arms and walking down the sidewalk forcing gray haired women in UT clothes off on to the street. No joke.

I go nuts.Well actually now that I think about it my throat hurts after a game so needless to say I am loud through the whole game.:clapping::clapping::rock::dance2: Golly I love Tennessee football!!! I thought about mentioning that their students are the worst part of their fan base but I figured that was pretty obvious and likely applies to most schools.

I have seen several fights at Calhouns after their last few visits; usually started by frustrated Vol fans tired of having the chomp in their face. Obnoxious SOB’s.

Even their sorority girls march around after the game chomping every UT fan that they can find (not in the good way).

That is true, but theirs are a cut above the rest. I took my sons to games from the time they were old enough to walk. I have been to every SEC school multiple times and Gainesville is the ONLY place I would never take my sons until they were students themselves.

I doubt the OP will have any issues with our fans in Knoxville.

We only throw urine bombs and set opposing elderly fans on fire at home games.
