I've heard numerous times that dogs see in black and white and can see a couple colors. How in the heck did someone find out what a dog can see? I mean if a dog can't talk or write something down how do scientist know what they see? This is a serious question. Can someone please tell me exactly how they claim to know what a dog sees through a dog's eyes when they are human?

Yes, dogs are unable to speak or write English. They are not completely dumb and have the ability to react to different stimuli. If you think about it for a second, it really isn't too hard to think of multiple possible experiments to find out. Many high school kids set out to prove dog colorblindness for their Science Fair Experiment.

They see red really well.

The reason I say this, a dog can lick his schlong in complete darkness and not miss one square inch
