I don't care if this thread is moved after I get an answer. I just want to know if quentin tarantino went to UT. I know he was born in Knoxville but I can't find anything about him attending UT.

google is your friend:

Tarantino was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Connie McHugh Tarantino Zastoupil, a health care executive and nurse born in Knoxville, and Tony Tarantino, an actor and amateur musician born in Queens, New York.[2] Tarantino's father is Italian American and his mother is of Irish and Cherokee Native American ancestry.[3][4][5] He was raised solely by his mother, as his parents had separated before their son's birth.[6] When he was two years old, his mother moved with her son to Torrance, California, and later moved to the Harbor City neighborhood of Los Angeles.[6] He attended Narbonne High School in Harbor City for his freshman year before dropping out of school at age 15. Quentin and his childhood friend, Adam Olis,[6] began to make movies in his backyard using cheap animations. He attended acting school at the James Best Theatre Company in Toluca Lake. At age 22, he held employment at the Video Archives, a now defunct video rental store in Manhattan Beach where he and fellow movie buffs like Roger Avary spent all day discussing and recommending films to customers.[7]

Thanks. I did a word search of college on his wiki page and came up with nothing. I didn't want to read his bio because I think his movies suck and was just wondering. Watching Hostel right now and it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Glad he didn't go to UT.

Pulp Fiction was a good movie. I'll give you that. Travolta is awesome too though. I just think Hostel and Kill Bill, movies like that suck.

i see. so instead of wasting 10 seconds reading a paragraph on his wikipedia page you chose to take that same time and post a thread and waste the time of everyone on this site. well done sir.

Yep. I don't want to read about someone that I think sucks. I'm glad you're worried about one thread being started though...

last time i checked the paragraph i was refering to was about his schooling, not his movies which you think suck (yet apparently chose to watch). you know the same subject you asked the question about.

Well usually when you search "University" or "College" on google or wiki, you come up with your answer. When I found nothing, I just assumed he didn't go to college because his movies suck so bad.

And I was right... he dropped out. So there ya go. I just figured the guy actually went to college since he gets paid money to write and direct bad movies.

Tarantino is one of my favorite directors. You don't really need to go to school to be successful in the arts.

You just don't get Tarantino. He makes movies that HE wants to see. I applaud him for that. It's something script writers need to do more often. For example, his spin on WWII in Inglorious Basterds. I'll also add that Jackie Brown is my favorite Tarantino flick.

When i first started seeing those kgb commercials on TV where you could text any question and they would answer it for you FOR A FEE. I wondered what tard would use this instead of using Google or wiki for free.

Now it makes perfect sense to me. Go capitalism!

I get sick of people here in Knoxville claiming to have a family member or friend that knew someone who knew QT while he was growing up here. He didn't grow up here at all. It is like someone always has a aunt or friend that knows a person that was working at a hospital when 'insert person on the local news' came in with something stuck up their rear.

I guess you can say the same thing about people knowing Johnny Knoxville but at least that could be true.

Tarantino neither wrote or directed Hostel, fyi.

Eli Roth aka the Bear Jew did.

Everyone has different taste , but I find you very incorrect in this statement.

I hope IB gets a Oscar nod because it is his best movie since Pulp Fiction.

I'm sure there are several people in Maynardsville that remember Aldo Raines' family and the parade they had for him at the end of the war.

How much influence did Tarantino really have as a producer on Hostel? As a producer, did he really just lend his name to Eli Roth to get his movie out there? It doesn't seem to be cut from exactly the same mold, if you know what I mean.
