Quay Picou transferring, officially

He must have found out that the easy ride is over. VOL football is no longer a mid-tier D1 program with those expectations from current coaching staff. We will probably see a few more fluffs quit as the workload is increased to P5 level top-tier SEC levels.

I wouldn't automatically assume that's the case. We really never know the reasoning behind these things unless it's told by said person.

With that being said, I hope he finds good luck wherever he ends up.

Best of luck to Quay! Will probably end up at Kennesaw State, Mercer, Jacksonville State...if he doesn't want to sit out a year

I am...the TennesseeTarheel. And I live in fuQUAY-Varina.
I am ready to return, too. To my home. Although it might be in a coffee can.
We misplaced the can with my wife's sister in it. I just know someone is going to dig it out of my hoard one day after I'm gone and wonder what the hell I was up to.

The Mocs would be a good option. Come on down, Quay.

That'd be nice. QP came as a PKG deal and really needed a RS year. Hardly touched field as a FR, but lost his RS still. I thought he was pretty quick as an interior guy. Figured he might be a DE on 3-4 downs and DT on 4-3s. But, oh well.

I agree. Guess Pruitt helped him decide since he didn’t give it a shot.

Agree. Hyams told 104.5 in Nashville Quay leaving because “he can’t play in the SEC”. I suspect JP noticed that, discussed that with Quay, and Quay soon after decided it was time to move on.
