Canales will help establish a similar juggernaut he developed during his very successful tenure at UNT, and I for one am thankful to have such a bright coach on our sidelines! :good!:

If this season and Canales turns out to be a dud, then I've got no problem admitting that my optimism was in error.

If Canales coaches our QBs into some great QB action and this season turns out to be a great one, are you gonna celebrate with us or continue to whine?

I'll just go ahead and toss my hat into youse guys' ring. I don't see the talent drop-off the pundits and negas are whining about. With Rock making 'em sturdier and stronger and Butch's most-definitely-upgraded staff; with another season of learning how to win/not to lose and of surviving a litany of unfortunate locker room pitfalls (JH, et al); with the odds finally evening out by team 121 staying clear of such a dirge of catastrophic injuries; with far less ego-sabotaging hype running amok through the sports world, then maybe-just-maybe we'll wind up... come December...a lot happier than we've been since NSD. Hey. Maybe since 1998. Who knows? May as well smile...pumpin' that sunshine...'til IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE. GBO! :rock:

Your concern for Vandy is noted. I think it's a waste, but the perfect storm that it took for us to lose to them last year I don't expect it to happen again for a long while.

But, certainly not dominate Team in the State of Tennessee the last 5 years.

Eh. It wasn't that perfect. Vandy was trying to fire their coach a few weeks before.
