It's not a theory Einstein. As I mentioned, Pruett said it's what he did. Osovet said it wasn't a **** position. Go find someone else to argue with.

There's not as many men of Honor as there once was but there's still some of them around.

Not to argue your way of doing business, but it is good business to have something in writing. What if the guy dies, what if for some reason he nor you control his assets being frozen by some other less than business like handshake deal. No, as much as you and I like the idea of handshake deals, too many things can and usually do happen.

Now, as to football employment contracts, they always seem have an "out clause" that usually favors the person hired.

I am not sold here. Maybe this is a great hire, maybe not. Definitely not proven at a power 5 level. This is a risk to me, but not my choice here. Just waiting to get it over with now.

I want a system that scores about 45 a game I don't care how it looks or what it does as long as it puts points on the board.

I agree, with the caveat that it doesn't keep our defense on the field giving up 50 a game. Whatever offense we run needs to have an ability to ball-control.

I understand your concerns, but there will always be risks, and one will never find reward if they are completely risk deterrent.

No decent program hires a cc HC as OC. Botch hired people with more experience and got his clock cleaned. If Pruitt hires Osovet I will loose faith in him.

I like Osovet but he needs more experience. A year or two coaching each of the offensive positions. Receiver, oline, backs etc. during that time he learns what is important at top level. He learns to recruit the SE.

A year ago we wouldn’t hire him as receivers coach. Now OC?

I will say Osovet is an under whelming hire. So the delayed announcement fits. And, there seems to be a series of coordinated leaks/information try to convince everyone he is a guru. Then there is Doug M. Saying is 95% done. Doug then has a follow up show with a guest talking about all the successful coaches coming out of nowhere. I wold not be surprised if it is Osovet.

Yep the so called RPO offense seems very much like the old single wing. For the youth it was run be most teams for several years. Tennessee was the last major team to change to the T formation. Single wing Required a very good tailback who could run, pass, and even punt. I’m not sure why it was outdated. Probably because the T was the latest thing back then. Wishbone came later and was quite a success.
