Quarterback situation

I am sorry but I do not see any improvement in Tyler Bray from his freshman year to his junior year. It is time to see what Worley or Peterman can do.

Maybe it is on our inability to develop the quarterbacks but TB has physical tools but there is nothing upstairs.

We need to try something different. I do not know who is more disappointing this year, him or the receivers?

I made the comment after the UF game that we should give Worley a shot. What do we have to lose at this point?

we don't have a quarterback situation. create one in your mind if you would like to. gonna be a long rest of 2012 here in this forum.

I've been saying it for quite a while. Worley spreads the ball around. Just look at the MTSU film from last year. High %, 300 yards passing, hit 9 different receivers and we won 24-0. He has history with CP. Alot of people were quoted as saying Da'Rick was a cancer to this team. Usually when they mention him, Bray was also thrown into the discussion and most fans did not want to hear it. "It's BS"!! Well, something is not right with this football team and IMO, the QB is a big part of it.

I remember being ridiculously excited about the potential that bray had a couple years back, and it really hurts that we are even having this conversation. He was going to be the next manning!

This. The backup quarterback is always the favorite. I was a huge Simms supporter because he busted his ass for this team, studied, and worked for everything he got. He just didn't have the talent to put it all together. I just hate that the best option doesn't seem to have a work ethic worthy of the position.

If Dooley feels Bray is leaving then lets get prepared for next year.....this year is a bust at best

I've compared the stats, too tired to do so now, before between Simms and Bray against teams that they both played against, and they were almost identical. And honestly, with the exception of Bama this year, the teams Simms went against were better than Bray's.

And you know this how? Because you heard things? You have seen first hand that he doesn't study film? You have seen him not work hard in practice?

What makes you think Worley will do any better? Consider this: 1. He's looked awful when he's seen the field IMO. 2. He is receiving the same $h!t coaching as Bray.

Bray isn't as good as many thought (IMHO) but benching him shouldn't even be a consideration. There is no QB situation.

When the quarterback struggles this much against every zone defense that he faces, when he can't check down to a run, etc, it seems he doesn't have the work ethic to learn how to be able to do that. Exactly what I said. It SEEMS he doesn't.

Well if he is putting that much effort into it then we do need to make the change now.

If my job depended on it like Dooley's does... I'd have to give Worley a shot. Bray can't get it done against competition.

The UT passing scheme is atrocious. I don't see many open receivers. You could put almost any qb in that situation and they would struggle. Deep routes and deep crossing routes is almost alway's what they run. I have not seen too many out routes or curls. They did run some short curls or dig's at the end but it was too late.

Good lord, Bray is not the only player that struggles against competition. By that notion, we should bench 9 out of the 11 defensive players, all our kickers, quarterback, justin hunter, etc. IDK if anyone remembers this, but it took our offensive line 2 and a half FULL seasons to get to playing well, and they played most of the snaps all 2 and a half years. Bray has totaled about 1.5 years worth of games so far. He does NOT get very much help from his WR's. Justin and Cordarrelle drop wide open streaks down the sideline routinely, so I would be hard pressed to have much confidence in them. It seems like any time a player DOES catch a pass, they get shook up or fumble the ball.

I'm not saying Bray is lighting the world on fire, but I'll be DAMNED if anyone of you know that he "doesn't have the work ethic" or whatever. Who knows that he's not being coached poorly. It seems like some of the play calls set him up to fail, even when they have a look at the defense and call an audible.

It's RIDICULOUS to determine that after the MTSU game that Worley should be put in. He has done NOTHING to prove that he's better than Bray. If he was better than Bray, he would play. A coach on a thin sheet of ice would not play favorites, so this alone should tell us that Worley is not better than Bray.

Good grief.

you obviously aren't old enough to know how good Ryan Leaf was at the college level - oh, and he took Washington State to the Rose Bowl... in his Junior Season. Washington State. Rose Bowl. Junior Year.

Talk to me about what Tyler Bray has done to even remotely be considered along side Ryan Leaf.
