What about Coach Strip? He is an older coach, I doubt he would want to take a head coaching job so late in his career. Pay this man big money to make sure he never leaves. Thig one day will go a dc job will come calling and I would imagine he would jump on that. Martinez and Azzani, let's just say I don't want them gone I just don't wNt them around anymore. An arguement could be made for Martinez. Gillespie has done a good job so hopefully he stays along as he wants.

Exactly...

It always amazes me how people can't fathom how anyone else can possibly coach football as well as the people currently on staff. Not to minimize the job they do, but it's football; not brain surgery.

Even brain surgery becomes routine.

Anyone who wants to push our best recruiters out the door without knowing who will be hired to replace them might want to take a moment and reflect on our last replacement hire. We need another top recruiting class to make our roster championship caliber and losing our key recruiters isn't a great strategy for achieving that.

We finally get the special teams we desire and the world takes notice. Not often a special teams gets a head coach job. Shows our results are being noticed. Congratulations to Coach Elder.

I guess we will have to go raid TCU, Baylor and Houston for recruiters/coaches.

Maybe Georgia too but I can't think of anyone on their squad other than Smart and the RB coach that I might want.

Just get a good coach that's also a GREAT recruiter.

We can NOT let our recruiting drop off at all!

I hope Coach Elder takes Mahoney with him

Why is that? Do you think the offensive did not improve this year with virtually the same personal as year before? What statistic leads you to believe he has done a bad job? In essence he did what was expected and perhaps a bit more. We finally got to see some cool schemes of pulling guards and our boys winning individual matchups this year. In general I think it can be summarized as:

2013 great line production with great talent
2014 abismal at the most generous ranking with all talent young
2015 line took a major step fwd IMO and is in the average range with still mostly young talent.

I can't wait to see players like Jones, hall, Thomas, and Robertson with another year of strength training under their belt.

Again just my opinion, but I would rather keep Mahoney than have to worry over an unknown at this point.
