I think the problem at VT was an occasional lapse in concentration that led to a boneheaded play or turnover. We have seen that on occasion here. But the Missouri game was pretty clean. Hope the trend continues.Hooker's limiting factor at VT was his game-day anxiety. If he gets that under control here, he can only get better.
Whoa now. I don't know if i would go that far. Worley was tough, but he was a 3-star out of HS and had a pretty weak arm. Bailey to Dormady (or even Nick Stephens) is probably a better comp.Hooker is SEC caliber. That doesn’t mean he’s a star, but there is no doubt he’s SEC caliber.
Bailey actually reminds me of Worley.

Excluding Hooker and Bray, Hooker is probably the new starting QB i've felt best about since Ainge/Schaefer in 2004. We haven't often had a new QB who quickly showed he could put up a lot of points.
Kenny, Kenny, Kenny …… Hooker is ranked 5th in the country in passing efficiency - second in the SEC behind the Alabama qb - and runs the offense like a conductor of the philharmonic. If he stays healthy and plays as well the rest of the season there should be 0 complaints - and he is most definitely an SEC caliber QB.There has been a ton of debate over Hooker, Milton, and Bailey. Hooker has looked better than the other two so far. However, the ugly truth is this, there have only been 2 SEC caliber QBs on the Hill since 2008, Bray and Dobbs. Worley was a warrior who played his heart out in an offense that wasn't a fit. Peterman and Ferguson never got the coaching/development they needed. Dormady wasn't a fit and didn't get developed. And well, there was JG. Not sure any of our current QBs are SEC caliber either, hopefully Jackson can come in and be QB1 right off the bat.
So far Hookers has done really well. I doubt Dobbs could have done any better. As Hooker gets more comfortable in this offense I believe he'll can do even better. I think this is the best qb room we have had in quite some time. There has been a ton of debate over Hooker, Milton, and Bailey. Hooker has looked better than the other two so far. He may be like Kellen Mond was at A&M. Nothing really stood out early on, but as he played more, he became a threat running or throwing. Defenses had to play him straight up or risk a big pass completion or a big gain with his running ability. Hooker looks to be in the same mold, at least to me.Hooker looks like he has potential. It looks like a few things clicked for him over the last two games. I think he might look like a different QB by the end of the season.
I'm not sure how you could argue that Hooker isn't "SEC caliber" at this point. He's 2nd in QBR just behind Young and just ahead of Corral in the SEC. Two QB's (Nix, Corral) haven't thrown a pick. Hooker is third in TD:INT ratio. He's 3rd in ypa. He's 5th in completion % but the caveat there is that E Jones and Rogers avg 6.5 and 6.6 ypc while Hooker is at 9.4... he's throwing the ball down field whereas they're hitting short stuff. He's 3rd in rushing among SEC QB's in spite of not starting the BGSU game. There has been a ton of debate over Hooker, Milton, and Bailey. Hooker has looked better than the other two so far.
