Trying to think of someone to model Dobbs like, but it I'm struggling to really think of anyone unless you count Cromptom and what Kiffin did with letting him move around more.

Took Vinny Testaverde like 15yrs to get over that butt whupping in the Sugar Bowl but he finally had some success later in his career.

Really does not happen. I tried to explain that to D4H once. Either a QB is accurate or not, very very few of examples of QB's that became accurate after they are deep into their CFB career.

Bart Starr wasn't on the All SEC 1st or 2nd team while he was at Alabama and he bettered himself to the point he helped Green Bay win 5 NFL Championships and the first two Super Bowls and he's in the NFL Hall of Fame.

I was at my frat house one day during the tebow era and it was littered with florida fans at the time. Well that day, before the gator game, I argued with all of them about Tebow and his throwing ability.

During the Florida game, one of the loudest arguers went to the bathroom in the middle of the drive by Florida's offense. when he came out, he looked at the TV and went "aww we punted" while the ball was being shown in the air. I told him "no Tebow just threw it deep" which was true. Never let him live that down. Tebow throws Farting ducks and somehow got away with it.

You're crazy or blind

Actually I agree with him. He had a great arm but he was anything but accurate. Heck look at his first 2 years in the NFL. He is light-years ahead of where he was.

Wasn't that more because his college career was limited for injury related reasons, though?

The whole "severely injured his back while being hazed but pretended it was an injury he got from playing football" that caused him to miss most of the junior season (and after which he barely played his senior year, despite supposedly having fully recovered).

Steve Young was a really poor quarterback when he entered the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he improved so much playing in the 49'ers system that he helped the 49'ers win a Super Bowl in 1994 and he's in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Yeah you are right. The back injury disqualified him for the Draft and bothered him off and on during his NFL Career

Ok...how about Sonny Jurgensen?

Or Billy Kilmer who started out as a single wing running back at UCLA and a running back with the 49'ers but when he was almost killed in a car wreck was switched to quarterback playing with the Saints 1967-1970 and he went to the Pro Bowl in 1971-1972 with the Redskins
