I am extremely confident that Tim Tebow is going to be utterly awful.
I remain skeptical as to whether Sam Bradford's durability issues and average arm will lend him a solid career.
What blows my mind is the lack of respect for Jimmy Clausen. He can make all the throws and will likely be starting be christened starter by season's end. Won't hurt at all that he'll have DeAngelo Williams, Steve Smith, and Jonathan Stewart to work with.

As far as the best QB in college for this upcoming season, I'm looking no further than Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ryan Mallett is an absolute stud. Too bad he doesn't have any future NFLers to throw to.
The Pac-10 is stout at the top with Jake Locker, Andrew Luck, and Matt Barkley. Griffin, Taylor, and Pryor are likely to have productive seasons, but their contributions at the position in the NFL will most likely be nill. Gilbert and Brantley usher in new eras for Mack and Urban. Jones will be far more effective for Stoops and Co. in year 2. Dayne Crist and Tate Forcier will pump new blood into Ann Arbor and South Bend, but there isn't much there on D for either of those historic powerhouses.

Clausen's personality rubbed some folks the wrong way during the interview process.

He has a reputation of being a bit of a diva.

Andrew Luck and Jake Locker are ahead of Mallett IMO.

Where Clausen got hurt the most is that his talent isn't good enough to keep teams from being frightened off by his attitude. Not saying the dude isn't talented, but he's not perfect, his delivery is less than ideal and the concerns about him outweighed the upside.

Still, being picked halfway through the second round isn't a bad thing.

Jake Locker, Washington
Andrew Luck, Stanford
Ryan Mallett, Arkansas
Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State
Landry Jones, Oklahoma
Tyrod Taylor, Virginia Tech
Greg McElroy, Alabama
Jacory Harris, Miami
Jerrod Johnson, Texas A&M
Matt Barkley, Southern California

These guys will probably be the top QB's next season that return as starters. (Not including Mid-Majors)

I would certainly include some mid major QB's They have proven to many times to be successful in the NFL

Case Keenum - Houston
Nathan Enderle - Idaho (A hidden gem among QB's)
Colin Kaepernick - Nevada

It's not like teams haven't taken chances on d-bags or character risks in the top 5 before. Top 5 to 48 is pretty far to fall.

at QB being someone your teamates don't hate is far more important than any other position. if he had a pot problem instead of being a dick he'd have been a first round pick

I disagree. There are a plethora of assh*les drafted in the first round. If his talent was there, it would have mattered much less. Not saying he will be a bust, just that he is far from a sure thing.

I might end up being wrong but on the OU front, I think Landry Jones has a better chance of having a more productive NFL career than Sam Bradford.
