'25 QB transfer prospects (Joey Aguilar)

Aguilar in 2024 had 23 TDs and 14 int. Per ESPN.
33 and 10 the previous year, with over 3700 yards passing. Could be he just needs a JH type coach to turn it back. Also has a little more mobility than some of the other names we've heard. It could possibly work. Defitniley worth a shot if he's the only one we can get.

I like the ND kid better as well, but I didn't think he fit our system......IMO.
IMO the ND kid would be a safer bet. In terms of leadership and game management. Think Greg McElroy at Alabama his senior year. Let the run game, defense and special teams keep you in a lot of games.

He actually had a pretty good 2023. He's decently mobile. 36 total TDs. Took NC to double overtime. The whole team regressed last year and the coach was fired so there was some sh going on with that team. Anyone that thinks this is a bad move doesn't know ball.

Also 24 interceptions.
JH might can get those numbers down. As limited as Milton and Nico were in their time here neither threw a ton of picks. HH definitely didn't.

If JH keeps drawing up plays to get guys wide open, that makes it less likely to throw picks. Milton and Nico just couldn't hit the open ones.

Stop bringing logic into this.

I think this indicates what everyone knows -- we don't have many options, we have to make the best of our current situation. Bring him back to this side of the map and get back on course to make the most of 2025.

If I were Aguilar, I'd spend some of my summer time, and my NIL money, doing community work for East TN and West NC. Lots of overlap with the fanbases, and still a lot of opportunity to do good work for folks that need it, and use your stage to continue raising awareness. By the time the season kicks off, he'll have all of Appalachia cheering for him

Fair enough, maybe Heupel can get him back to this level if not better. If he is the guy.

Good point.

Aguilar is certainly on the lower level of guys I was expecting. But he's better than many of you give him credit for. Most of you would have hated Altmyer a year ago. Now you are simping for him.
