'25 QB transfer prospects (Joey Aguilar)

The logic makes sense because no one would think that you would take a massive pay cut to go play for a third rate football program, in front of dozens of fans, in an offense that ranked 124th last season.

But when you make an ass of yourself at some else’s expense…taking a loss and then trying to justify it even though it makes absolute zero since is ok for distancing purposes only…that’s where they’re at right now…they didn’t expect the kind of backlash the whole ordeal received so when news outlets came knocking they gave a reasoning that seemed valid at the time with both hands in the air like “it wasn’t us” until the stat sheet is pulled out. by that time reporters have already left the house and won’t be back for a follow up question why?…they’re in California now..😭🤣🤣 let them play victim in California and when he fails at UCLA everyone will know the real answer.

He could just add a depth piece and go all in on Merklinger. Nico was unproven last year as well.
Nico was a top recruit, was vastly better athlete than Merk, and was QB2 all of 2023. He also had a good bit of experience as a freshman, with 45 pass attempts, including 19 in his start in the bowl game.

Merk was QB3 this year and had 9 total passes to his name. It's not remotely similar.

Merklinger wasn't a slouch recruit either ranking 13th in his class as a QB and had a good high school football career.

Terrifying.

Beggars can't be choosers.

We got screwed over very late in the game. Not everyone else is for sale, and not many want to do to their team what Nico did to us...

Just a tough spot we've found ourselves in.

People didn't lose their minds for Hendon, though, and he was the answer to our prayers.

Maybe this staff needs another guy thrust upon them not by their choice.

Dude they weren't remotely similar prospects. He was outside the top 200 prospects nationally.

I understand that rankings aren't the end all be all. But it at least gives you an indication on how the talent view their overall talent levels.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist but let's face it, Tennessee swung and missed on all their prospects over the past week. I'm not for Aquilar coming to Tennessee but I think that's the best Tennessee will get at this time.

The collective reached out to a bunch of guys, could give any/all of them raises.

If none of them want to pull a Nico on their current team, what can you do besides tip your hat?
