In VA, the Tech QB, Kyron Drones name is being mentioned a lot. There are a lot of Tech alum concerned/complaining. I don’t know much about him.

Everyone keeps clamoring for Gaspipe to come back. I thought he gas to transfer down to have remaining eligibility? He was a 5th year Sr. Last year.

I forgot about his eligibility. If he can’t come back then hopefully Heupel looks for a depth piece. The fans wanting a one year rental starter QB baffle me. It’s not worth it imo.

To me it's the same if you would've had Nico or have a 1 yr transfer that can run the system. Merk and GMAC weren't planning on this being anything but a development year anyway.

His completion percentage is not good. Not saying no to him but idk if it’ll work in the sec. Could be an option though and a lot of fun if it works out.

Why would he be a resident of CA? He's an adult residing in Tennessee.

I believe CA makes it hard to say you left, with all the tech people leaving and people moving to low income tax states. I believe they have made it harder to quit them. Also, being a college student, normally your permanent address is listed as your parents home and you keep that state residence. His bank or church or dentist is still in cali and he still spends time there, I am guessing they still have their hooks in him for income tax.

What's the point in developing the QB position? As soon as they become valuable they will be purchased by another team. Buy a senior with experience. Do it to them before they do it to you.

He looked really good in the limited time he had at Indiana though against pretty poor competition. Knows Heupel’s system spending a year in it. Didn’t know that he had transferred to UCF and we would be taking him from McKenzie Milton the new qb coach which kinda stinks. Could do a lot worse

Agree; that was not impressive at all by Merklinger
