Nico relied on his gifts to make plays under pressure. Not sure where you get that from, but, I recall of all the things in the World he made some plays in some big moments. Now, did he **** the bed in some key situations? Yes. But he was also a RS Freshman.

Lets stop pretending that Nico wasnt talented. He made us some plays.

Now, we know he was NOT a leader, self absorbed, and couldnt handle conflict - hence the cowardly manner he handled things.

The emotional maturity is key for a QB who is the battle captain.

One thing to remember with the Bryce Young comparison…we keep saying Nico was just a RS Freshman in 2024. But he only got a redshirt because the NCAA recently implemented a rule that you can play 4 games and a bowl without burning the redshirt.

Applying the same rules that existed when Young was at Alabama, Nico was actually a true sophomore in 2024. Just like Young was a true sophomore in 2021 after only attempting 22 passes as a freshman. Nico attempted 45 his true freshman season.

So both were in their second years in 2021 and 2024 and Nico had attempted twice as many passes going into it. He was actually more experienced due to getting the bowl game as a freebie. The difference? Bryce Young won the Heisman. Nico was an average QB who ran out of bounds as time expired against Arkansas and kept Florida and Alabama in the game with awful misses of wide open bombs.
