mentioning casey clausen is not a good thing on this board man, some crazy people show up to bash you if you mention him. But yes he was a great qb and a great warrior, and if it wasn't for the injury bug in 2002, i think he would have been known as the greatest qb in tennessee.

Whoa now. I like Casey and thought he had a lot of heart but "greatest" is quite the stretch even with a few "what ifs". [/quote]
but think about it. People were thinking heisman his junior year. then with the injury bug on offense and defense he was never the same qb that year. then he never really had a good rb to hand it off to except when stephens was there. but what I am saying is he could have been the greatest ever if the 2002 season would have played out like it was suppose to.

well back on to topic. So are we all set on Ainge starting? Because if so this was a complete waste of time. Guess I need to start a diffrent thread to get things going.

I'm pretty much set on Ainge starting...numbers are pretty much the same, but if you take out the AU game, i think ainge comes out ahead....just my opinion

NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT
Erik Ainge 109 198 1452 55.1 7.33 17 9 135.9

Rick Clausen 81 136 949 59.6 6.98 8 5 130.2

I don't think Clausen has the arm strength to be the starter even though he makes some really good decisions. I think both will battle and whoever shows the most poise will lead the team at UF and LSU. Win those games and the job is his, lose one or both and we could end up playing both all season.

Rick is the man :peace2: and will be our starter :good:

With that being said Ainge will sub in after the 2nd or 3rd series so basically rotating QB's again :D
