Awesome chart.
BUT...
The 3rd down "throws" conversation doesn't factor in sacks. Him just eating the ball sometimes. Not all the time.
And the player A vs B thing is silly.
Player A- 3,190 yds passing 30 tds 9 ints
Player B- 1,190 yds passing 12 tds 4 ints
THAT IS THE REALITY. not the "ratio".
Imagine what our season would have been with 18 more tds!!
So now JG is a bowler or tennis player or golfer?
By your definition he could throw for 500 yards and 5 tds a game but if Tennessee loses 7 games despite that this year, then he still sucks? Or he could have the worst QBR in the SEC this year but if Tennessee wins 9 games then he’s suddenly great? What the what? Guessing you’re a big Trent Dilfer fan?
The O did not score points behind him. The coaches could not trust the OL to protect him consistently but they couldn't trust him to make good pre-snap reads and hit hot routes to help the OL.His average pass completion was 12.5 yards; roughly on par with Drew Lock, Jarrett Stidham, and Kyle Shurmur.
I get "sick and tired" of people making up phony stats because they are trying to justify their irrational dislike for JG. And then claiming "stats can be misleading." Yes, they can be very misleading when you make them up out of thin air.
No. No. No. You just don't understand because of your hatred of JG. If you don't love and support him exclusively while not criticizing him and totally condemning anyone else... you aren't a real fan. That's right were all Vols.
That includes Brian Maurer.
Definitely agree, but gives me hope that a better Oline will take him to a new level.

k-town has been at this same thing since before Dormady beat JG out. After he did, he blamed QD for many things he has since blamed receivers, coaches, and OL's for.
He's not a Vol fan. He's a JG fan.

Seems Little Vol isn't actually a Vol fan but a Brian Maurer fan. "LittleMaurer"
I lived in central Florida and just happened to move to the Atlanta area around the time his senior season ended. So I was lucky enough to watch most of his HS career live. The defense was the worst I’ve ever seen and I’ve coached football for years from peewee- hs. His o line wasn’t much better. Especially his junior yr. Scouts and fans get misguided by his junior yr but what doesn’t show up on a stat sheet is his team averaged 10 drops a game. 11 of those drops would’ve been tds. And iirc the article I read said 8 ints that yr were tip drills.Dang imagine if that defense had D Taylor, Bryce Thompson and Daniel Bituli!!
Maurer4Heisman?
I'm a fan of anyone who can lead Tennessee to the level success that Vol fans have come to know. And that's Brian Maurer.
I'm certainly not a JG fan. That's true. But WHY IS THAT??
Soon... you'll be a Brian Maurer fan too.
That's what winning does.
He's been failing....
That's what is silly about this whole thing.
Me and others want the TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS to win! Not going to happen with JG at QB. There's two years of evidence for that...
I lived right in his back yar

What’s silly is your simplistic view of football that the QB is solely responsible for wins and losses. Give JG Bray’s offensive line and Ainge’s WRs and he’d probably win a Heisman
Look at JG's senior stats from high school, he averaged 1 TD per game. Are you surprised when he finally starts a full year here he averages 1 TD per game? No, just blame the O line and the receivers for everything.
Unless Chaney/Weinke do some QB magic on him and can establish a decent run game, the offense is going to be down in the gutters again.
