Yea, but once we get him here and feed some good ole southern food, we'll fattin' him up real quick. :)

BTW: To the others that think NS will be our starter, why didn't we see more of him on the field for experience?
Per CLK, he wants to win now. JC gave the team the best option to win this season. Also, as mentioned before, the team was not in a lot of blowout games.

They might change his playing ability as far as X's and O's goes but I seriously doubt they will be able to change his spastic mindset, unless they can get him on some good meds to calm him down.

We need to set him up with JJ and get him a sack of reffer. Just tell him not to try and rob anyone to get it. :dance2:

Does Bray start right away? I'm worried that he seems fragile at 6'6" 180 lbs, but I don't want to see #17 out there.

In an interview with the Kingsburg Recorder, Tyler said he had gained 15 lbs to 200 lbs going into this season. He said the added weight was helping take the hits in the pocket. I would think our strength & conditioning guys could get him to 215 between Jan & Fall camp.

I'm sure they will get some weight on him
Still think stephens will win the starting job since he has more experience in chaneys system

Agreed, we should remember that JC had a great year because of his reputation from the 08' season and how he played early. He was still under 60% completion rate. This was a 7-5 team, with a year in the system and if Stephens will take care of the ball, keep his temper under control. He certainly has the arm to make all the throws, something we all said about JC before the 09' season started. Obviously nothing but speculation at this point, and we've learned that CLK will play who he thinks gives this team the best chance to win.

I think they should play Nick Lamaison the jr. college qb. He still has 2 yrs of playing time left, so that he can back-up Bray after his redshirt year. Bray will be better after a year of learning the offense and the weight room.

Don't you have to meet with Lane for his yearly review coming up shortly? You should just ask him then. He would have a waaay better idea than anyone on this forum.

Remember that one season when we had a QB we all hated and thought should be benched but he came back in the 2nd half and was awesome???

Oh yeah! that was like 2 months ago! And we still have that coaching staff that got him straightened out!!

Bray? Are you kidding me? Nick is on campus right now practicing with the vols. It is his to lose.

2 months ago everyone was begging for nick to play, and now we dont want him to play next year?? Because a freshman that hasnt practiced is coming??

Cmon guys

stop talking about weight!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is not the reason he won't start.

Why does everyone think his weight will affect whether he starts or not? Bray's chance of starting will be based off how quick he learns the system and it also involves him beating out Nick Stephens. Weight is not an issue

I have heard that Nick was worthless when it comes to watching films, studying the playbook, etc. That may be agood spot for Bray to excel past him

I may walk-on so I'll probably get the nod over Basket Case Stephens and Shoe String Bray.

I went to UT as an 18 Yr Old 6'1 175 pounder....
By time I was 20 I was 6'2 205 and I didn't even have a weight training program.

Guys just naturally fill out around that age he will be fine!
