QB Next Year

Chances are it has something to do with him not having confidence in Stephens.

It couldn't have been that he thought JC would turn it around. I can understand the thought process that he wouldn't pull JC b/c Stephens sucked when he was stinking it up. But Crompton threw for 26 TDs this year. Isn't it possible that CLK realized he will come around?

Also consider that Stephens and Crompton were pretty comparable in 2008 and next year Stephens and the receiving corps will have 1 more year in the CLK's system then Crompton and company had this year. It's entirely possible that 2010 Stephens > 2009 Crompton. People are calling Stephens a basket case but we were all calling Crompton a lot worse 2 months ago.

Is Bray an ee?

From everything i've read he is. If Bray is 80% of the quarterback Stephens is in the spring then Bray is the starter imo. If its close basically at all you would have to think we'd go w/ the frosh. From what i've read hes 6'7" now and 200lbs. Ummm yah he can prolly take a SEC hit a few times a game.... I can't wait to see it all play out.

That's what I'm thinking.

Stephens.... everyone was saying the same things about Crompton(basket case). CLK and company turned him around in less than a year. Imagine how Stephens turns out after two seasons with this staff.

Damn he's grown an inch and gained 20 pounds in a few months. This guys gonna get Rod Wilks treatment after signing day

From what I know, Bray is graduating in December and will be on campus this spring. I'm hoping that he gets some weight gain between now and the fall

Does Bray start right away? I'm worried that he seems fragile at 6'6" 180 lbs, but I don't want to see #17 out there.

He has apparently put on weight and is up to 200 lbs.

Just throwing this out there, Jacory Harris weighs 185 lbs., seemed to do just fine.

If Kiffin can turn Crompton into what he is now, then I believe that he can make Stephens into an ok QB.

What short memories some fans have, just 8 weeks ago many on here were being armchair quarterback coaches and was calling JC horrendous. CLK made a believer out of the fans with JC and now some are already debating who they think should start and why. The starting QB next year will be the QB that gives us the best chance to win, unless this past year has taught you nothing.

I feel like if one guy we talk about being a basket case and the other we are talking about being a little under weight it should be an easy choice. Obviously the experience will be the main factor. We talk about what the staff did with JC and what it could do with NS, but what about what they could do with a guy completely raw? They'll have the same amount of time with Bray that they had with JC.

NS isn't a headcase. He has a quick temper? yes. but that was just frustration last year. His problems mechanics & decision making. I'm sure the mechanics are probably fixed. Decision making? We shall see.

This is a fair point, I hope the O-line comes together who ever in shoving thier hand up the center's butt.

Considering where Crompton was and where he is now I am not worried about our QB next year, I'm worried about who is going to block for him.

To be fair, Harris is extremely mobile and agile saving him from taking alot of direct hits...
