First of all -- I am a Dooley fan. I think he can turn things around, and I think he needs more time.

But, I am completely confused by how CDD is handling our QB's. I get that Simms was lousy (against Bama and LSU, two great defenses remember). But ok, if you want to bench him and start Worley, I get that. But if you do that, aren't you largely building and developing for the future (while hoping to win now, obviously)?

So, Worley struggles and looks bad tonight. Ok, very bad. But he's a true freshman. What did you expect, coach? But by benching him...now Worley's confidence is shot. And Simms is ticked at being benched (again), and his confidence is shot.

We are we going with our QB's? What's the plan? Do the coaches even have one, or is it just on the fly?!

Worley's confidence may be shot, but I would also imagine the way that he played hurt his confidence. With that being said, I think Worley is our best option. I think he needs to start vs. MTSU and continue to improve. He did throw alot of good balls tonight in spurts but obviously needs to continue to grow.

Negavol.

Jk... good points. You will be called a negavol by others, though.

I am not a negavol! (yes, I realize you were just kidding)

I am in CDD's corner, and don't understand all the calls for his head. I was at the game last week against Bama, and I cheered my heart out the whole game.

Questioning a coach's decisions should not automatically bring one's loyalty to the Orange into question!!

I was ok with Simms coming in (I can't believe I just said that). The kid was having a tough night, and there's no way he was going to rally the troops at that point. I was ok with giving Matt a shot, but wasn't surprised with the results either. Worley will get the nod against MTSU.

You still must try to win...if Dooley has to Worry about his QB losing confidence even though he cant help us win....then he might not be a future QB anyway.....In fact i remember a UCLA game not long ago when three QB's all tried to get it done after a Colquitt injury...Both Freshman were yanked...Helton finished it....and lost....and one of those freshmen seemed to bounce back nicely..=)

I'm sure it's better for a coach to just leave a QB in there and either 1. Just show no confidence in him and have him hand it off every play or 2. Let him keep throwing picks. That's a real confidence builder.

I think Dooley thought we still had a chance to win, and decided to go with Simms over Worley at that point.

We had to go no huddle. For all we know Simms might run the no huddle better than Worley and that's why Dooley made the decision.

It seemed odd though. I was surprised to see Simms.
