Sure we did. We only picked up a 3rd QB, which we had to have for depth. He has upside, plays with a chip and didn't cost us an arm and a leg in the NIL department. Now we can use that money to bring in other positions that need to be filled. No QB was going to come in and really grasp a completely new offense by the start of the season. Why would we really want to pay a huge sum for that? Somehow, I think Coach knows a little bit more about handling this than you.

I’d guess that’s the play. We only had two scolly QB’s on roster. I’d guess it’s still Merk’s job to lose but I think we’ll see an open competition

Where do you get UCLA didn't want? They took him from App State in the winter portal. There must have been something there they wanted.

The thing I like most about this is we didn't steal some other team's QB. This guy was screwed by the Nico situation, as were we. So we still get to be the "good guys" - just feels much better than doing to another team what Nico did to us.

When we go 7-5 next year, we can all feel better knowing we didn't go after a better qb because it was the unethical thing to do.

Hard to believe this was the best we could do.... Lord, I hope I'm wrong.
