Have only seen Coleman on High School All-Star game video but the boy looked unreal. He was VERY mobile, even mowing over a defender, with a spin move during the run for good measure! He also looked the part as a passer. Crompton just hasn't made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside with his play. I have no knowledge of what kind of transformation Coleman has made to the college game, but the young man impressed the s@%t out of me from what I did see in high school. Hope the best man makes it onto the field, and this is awarded on merit not politics. BleedNOrange in Memphis:rock:

I watched BJ Coleman play alot at Mccallie. They ran the spread offense, and he was a great decision maker. He wasn't the fastest or most atheletic kid mainly because he was so lanky, but he could tuck it and run when needed. I would compare him to Tom Brady not in ability, but in terms of his style of play. I still have questions about Cromptons arm strength. I don't know if can put the velocity on the ball to get it past defenders in the intermediate passing game. I do think those two will have quite the battle this spring. It will be interesting to see how it plays out once the new staff evaluates them
