Dooley and Chaney have done a nice job establishing quality depth at QB.

Bray - Junior
Worley - Sophomore
Peterman - Freshman
Ferguson - HS Senior

And WR too. I'm glad to I don't have to start looking for a bridge like last year anytime a WR or QB goes down. I knew deep down when Hunter didn't get up that the season wasn't going to be great, and when Bray went out, I REALLY knew. There are only a few spots now (LB being the main one I think) where if we lose someone it could cripple us.

This part I agree with - the quality I am not sure about

other than Bray there is noone who has proven to be a quality player - I know only Worley has been giving the chance but he was not impressive so at this point I don't agree that there is quality depth there

Better than a Crompton Simms combo.

Fairly typical, even at elite college programs, to only have one proven quality player at QB.

True, but hard to be impressive when you've done nothing but take 2nd team snaps and never seen any legitmate game action until you're thrown to the wolves, and expected to succeed with an injury-laden team. I still have high hopes for him (please, no 'high hopes YouTube clips), but he just needs more 1st team reps. If he never starts, I have all the confidence in the world right now that he could come in on mop up duty and do just fine, because similar to your first point, nothing has shown me that he can't.

I don't disagree that he hasnt proven he can't - i would just say the jury is certainly still out

I also understand that having proven depth is difficult at this position but we actually were in the position to have this be proven with Bray going down last year and QB played suffered dramatically with him out so we didnt exactly prove it

I don't see it as much different than when Bray went in the year before - difference was Bray was ready and Worley just wasnt

That was confusing. :) But anyway, yeah I see what you're saying and not disagreeing with you, just trying to spin from a different angle. I just like to play devil's advocate.

The way i see it, Bray stays 2 more years, Worley redshirts Bray's senior year.
Peterman starts his Jr. and Sr. year, Fergusen gets a redshirt during his Frosh or Soph year.
Worley, no offense cuz he seems like a great kid and was put in a realtough spot last year, I see as a career backup, and a pretty good one at that. He doesnt have the potential upside as the other 3 guys but he's smart and he should have a firm grasp of the offense.
