QB Consultant Cutcliff and C-3

Obviously, Coach Cutcliff considers Knoxville his home and has (I think) one child in UT. It doesn't appear that he has the fire to pursue a head coaching job or top assistants job anywhere given the stress and demands that such would place on him. Yet, he is a proven winner and perhaps the greatest proven developer of QB's in the nation considering what he has done with the Manning boys who may break all the passing records in the NFL before it's over with. Given that, I was wondering if Cutcliff could or would be satisfied with being the QB Guru for TN as a consultant. It would be a great draw for C3. As Cafego was to kicking, Cutcliff could be to passing. That way he gets to stay close to his beloved home and friends in knoxville and still be the best at what he does. He can do his radio thing, maybe some TV and still compete at the highest level in college football. I don't know how he would feel about that, but I couldn't imagine a better life- Good money, good friends and family close by, the Smokey Mountains, the lakes, UT football, and being able to develop franchise QB's. It could be good for Cut and good for UT and good for all the top QB recruits in the nation who will always have TN at the top of thier list.. if they are blessed enough to be chosen...just thinking out loud.

ain't gonna happen, in the spring if he feels recovered enough he will get a job somewhere.

I honestly am not sure what people would complain about if we fired Sanders, hired someone else....and still lost games

Maybe we would turn on Fulmer or the players?

Better get used to it because unless something drastic happens Sanders is not going anywhere.

There are definitely worse coaches on the staff.

You have to give Sanders credit for the job he did last year getting those QB's ready to play and calling plays from the sidelines.

I'm with you Milo. Our expectations are a bit on the ridiculous side. How a team can have a record like ours and have complaints about the coaching strikes me as a bit absurd. I'll be one to say that I'm darn proud of the job that's done 'round here, and I'll second the comment that having 3 QB's ready to go and perform as we did in the SECCG and the Cotton deserves a hand.

Ah, the fleas returning to the board signals the beginning of football season. I guess we'll get to hear how great Johnny is again for the next several months.

Another hilarious thing I see is that we always seem to bash Sanders yet when someone non-UT does it.....like Trev Alberts...we go nuts

Ive been upset with RS before. He can only make calls with who is on the field. The deep chapters of the playbook are no good unless we have the 11 on the field that can execute. I dont see Cut anywhere but as a consultant or assitant as far as UT goes. It would be nice to have him up in the booth working with QB's and RS. C3 has an invitation but if we dont land him oh well. Theres another kid out there that didnt get the attention because of name.
